About
In Beat of Rebellion, you'll take the role of the Pulsedrifter, a young rebel who struggles to survive in a bleak future. Inside the cyberpunk metropolis of New Nexus, all forms of art are banned, artists are persecuted, and progress has suffocated the soul of humanity. Music is your ally, and the Beat is your weapon. Fight to bring back voice, color, and rhythm to a city cast into silence.
Beat of Rebellion blends a rhythmic game with the intensity of an isometric Hack & Slash. Each battle unfolds in arenas where music dictates timing: the closer you time your actions to the Beat, the stronger you become!
At the core of the combat system are Melodies: customizable combos where you assign the inputs, creating your own unique and rhythmicfighting style.
Journey through the Underbelly of New Nexus: three levels, each with its own environment and increasing BPM. Explore the Underbelly of New Nexus, overcome traps, hack gates, and dash over gaps while following the Beat. Follow the rhythm and dive into the city to meet its inhabitants and uncover its secrets.

Eh, it exists, it's not bad though I didn't personally like it, thought the controls were kinda clunky. Effort was put into it, it's got pretty cool Ideas. it's pretty standard but worth a try, it's free after all.
pretty fun laidback game, my only issue is there's a glitch whare you can get stuck on moving platforms that go up and down, other than that i absolutly loved this game.
love it! It works great on the deck!

Game is fun. I'd compare it to Cuphead in a sense, but a fair bit easier at the same time. I ran into a bug in the last level where completing part of the objective just hard-locked the game since I missed an encounter, and couldn't return because the doors to the area locked and there was no other entrance. Another issue I had to deal with was controller support. I have a Logitech wired controller, and the game would not recognize it until I manually made it. Even then, I had to change some settings for my controller in Steam Big Screen Mode. For those wondering, rebind your D-pad settings to Joystick, and your Joystick settings to D-pad. For some reason, the devs made D-pad the movement instead of Joystick. Regardless, the game is fun, and fairly challenging, but the issues need to be fixed for this game to fly off. A good list of things to fix that personally I had a problem with: 1. Make dashing more reliable and easier to use. I fell into pits numerous times because dashing is sooo precise that even 1 inch away from where you should be dashing from to cross a pit can make you ram into the ledge and fall. 2. On the topic of pits, make them NOT kill you. I died countless times after trying to escape an enemy, only to die because I ran into the ledge while trying to cross to avoid a projectile. A better option could be something like disabling healing moves for a second or two, but ONLY AFTER THE LEDGE CLIPPING BUG IS FIXED. 3. Make it so you can change your keybinds IN THE GAME ISELF. Having to spend 20 minutes, WHILE LIVESTREAMING TO MY FRIENDS AND ON YOUTUBE, fixing my settings to be able to play on controller, like the game recommends, was painful. Either way, if someone knows how to fix the 3rd level hard-lock without wiping my data, and replaying to game again, please do comment it. I want to finish this game.
Nice game, just because it's free.... The game itself is pretty nice, but the bugs are pretty annoying, In the boss fight there were a few times that the colors just disappeared from the screen (black and white) and there was also a problem that some of the abilities didn't work all the time, there were times that for some unknown reason my healing stopped functioning, or my ultimate ability didn't work.
Fun game but there is an input lag on from the Playstation controller. It's kinda rough since you have to stay on beat. Also I'm currently stuck on the third level, destroyed both generators and if there's supposed to be a boss or a puzzle then it's not showing up.
