About
In Beat of Rebellion, you'll take the role of the Pulsedrifter, a young rebel who struggles to survive in a bleak future. Inside the cyberpunk metropolis of New Nexus, all forms of art are banned, artists are persecuted, and progress has suffocated the soul of humanity. Music is your ally, and the Beat is your weapon. Fight to bring back voice, color, and rhythm to a city cast into silence.
Beat of Rebellion blends a rhythmic game with the intensity of an isometric Hack & Slash. Each battle unfolds in arenas where music dictates timing: the closer you time your actions to the Beat, the stronger you become!
At the core of the combat system are Melodies: customizable combos where you assign the inputs, creating your own unique and rhythmicfighting style.
Journey through the Underbelly of New Nexus: three levels, each with its own environment and increasing BPM. Explore the Underbelly of New Nexus, overcome traps, hack gates, and dash over gaps while following the Beat. Follow the rhythm and dive into the city to meet its inhabitants and uncover its secrets.

street fighter x guitar hero mashup 10/10, no other notes except i love you to the developers
Score: 4/10

Art: Classic futuristic sci-fi aesthetic with some interesting ideas. Character designs are reasonably cool, but enemy designs are very basic. The main menu UI clearly needs improvement, especially in terms of fonts, layout, and overall visual clarity.
Music: Fits the setting, but it is not particularly engaging or fun to listen to. For a rhythm-focused game, this is a noticeable weakness.
Story: A very standard sci-fi premise where something is forbidden (art, in this case) and the protagonist rebels against the system. The concept is familiar, and the dialogue does little to elevate it.
Gameplay: A mix of Crypt of the NecroDancer and a 2.5D hack-and-slash. The concept is interesting on paper but not especially fun in practice. Because the music lacks strong or clear beats, the game relies heavily on visual cues. Unfortunately, these cues are either too low on the screen or too small around the character, and they tend to blend into the background. The idea of player-defined combo chains to activate abilities is solid and has potential. Enemy encounters, however, are repetitive and uninteresting. Additionally, the moments where score screens or score feedback are shown interrupt the flow too often and slow the game down significantly. These should either happen while the character can still move or be fully optional and disableable.
Accessibility: Very limited. Aside from basic controller support, there are no meaningful accessibility options.
Overall Experience: A game with a potentially strong core idea that does not fully come together. The rhythm-action concept has promise, but weak music, unclear visual feedback, frequent interruptions, and uninspired enemies hold it back. With better pacing, clearer feedback, and overall polish, this could become something more compelling.

Beat of Rebellion's story is somewhat prototypical with a bit of a twist, you're the young street runner trying to navigate the perils of a dystopian cyberpunk world, while fighting to survive the authoritarian synthetic powers, who are trying to crush you for expressing creative freedoms in a musical way. The game has exceedingly fun cyberpunk action hack and slash gameplay, that rewards you for playing to the beat of a thumping cyberpunk electro industrial inspired soundtrack. I'm a fan of the concept and execution and hope to see the world of Beat of Rebellion expanded upon in the future.
a very sweet and short game. characters are beautifully designed, level design is clever and really interesting, i love the asthetic of the city. story is simple but it does it's job. gameplay is entretaining and fluid and the soundtrack is a banger especially when you enter a bettle. overall, i really enjoyed the game and really recommend it if you're looking for a quick rhythm game, plus it's free.

Koronun içinden çıkan ses sen ol! Beat of Rebellion, izometrik ritim tabanlı bir Hack & Slash oyunudur.
Fun free game with some awesome beats.
Game is fun despite some minor issues. 7.5/10.
Стильно, прикольно. Правда немного вырвиглазно.
