I could get over the jank & the frequent game breaking bugs that require that you reload the game. But the single slot auto save system is just plain annoying when dealing with this many bugs. If your hangering for a Photography game & the price is cheap give it a go but be aware of the jank.
So far this is a really beautiful and fun game! there a few visual glitches like the pages showing the wrong pics but it eventually fixes itself
I really enjoyed playing this game. A young woman returns to a mysterious island her grandfather explored when he was younger. Your job is to capture photos of all the different flora and fauna on the island, including documenting certain behaviors from the larger animals. As you explore, you discover that some wrongness seems to have befallen the island that perhaps only you can make right... This was a very fun, low key, low stress game to play. I had a blast filling up my photo book. You can take different pictures of the same species and then decide which photo to display as your main picture in your photo book (so you can retake pictures until you get the perfect one). The plants, animals, and insects in the game were extremely creative and whimsical, and I really enjoyed some of the bonus content you unlock once you complete each of the three environments (these are not playable content, just pretty sculptures of the wildlife you encountered, etc.) My one complaint is the game itself is a little buggy. Sometimes photos would not populate to the correct page, or would display under the wrong animal, etc. One time an environment got blacked out. There was also one section I had to consult a walkthrough on as I missed that there was a path out of a section and got stuck. However, the photo journal would usually reset correctly if I quit the game and then returned to it, and my understanding from reading some other comments is you can replay an environment if you missed something the first time through. TLDR: this is a great game if you are looking for a low key, fun, exploration type game and can tolerate a little bit of bugginess.
If you enjoy photography games with a charming art style, this one is definitely for you.
Short, simple game that was pretty and adventurous, without being super challenging.
Really sweet and short game that I played on the Steam Deck over the holidays whenever there was downtime. The premise of exploring an island full of mysterious and miraculous fauna and flora, whilst documenting them with the camera and having a little bit of lore bits and bops from your grandpa's journal creates a really relaxing and serene experience of just pure unadulterated exploration. In essence, it is just a walking sim, but I feel this constant need to photograph all of the living creatures on the island makes it fun and engaging, instead of boring and dull. Itsa good :)
Bello.
Für mich persönlich war es jetzt nichts, aber für Kinder ist es bestimmt etwas ganz schönes. Sollte mein Sohn alt genug sein gebe ich gerne eine neue Rezension.
Short and sweet. If you like exploratory photography games, this is for you. Works well on Steam Deck. It's a little buggy but reloading or exiting and then entering again would solve the problems.
A delightful little game with wonderful visuals and a lovely message. I loved my time with this one.
