i think this game took many things away from the originals. it just doesn't have that charm. for me it's probably the futuristic look. what i loved about the classics (wich sadly no longer work) was the 2d soldier sprites and the absolutely iconic weapons and vehicles. the Vietnam era half track, the aoache, m48 tanks, the M60 machine gun, the m72 law boom tube and much more. honestly... if the developers were to make a remaster or the original BeachHead 2000 or update it's code to run on windoes 10 / 11 i would buy it no matter the price. it could be 30 bucks just for this fun arcade naval landing shooter and i'd still enjoy every moment of it.

Since the last version there have been several new features and upgrades for us to sink our teeth into and I'll give you a brief overview of them here. There are two new game modes, Battles & Rogue both of which feature a new menu that allows you to buy upgrades to your defenses for coins you earn in game. This new means of gathering currency while you play has added a new sort of "ladder" to gameplay, as you have various weapon platforms to unlock, various positions, upgrades to shield and health as well as various in game abilities. The more coin you gather, the more upgrades you can buy. The artillery barrages and droppable exploding barrels add a new degree of control to you being able to clear the feild and manage your survival. There is also new static defenses you can purchase and upgrade. In the new rogue version there are also cards that you can gather each play-through to do even more to this effect, these two new versions also have a variety of different "battles" these are compositions of levels you can grind out to gather coins and they all feature varied content with varied difficulty. These are totally welcome new ideas in addition to the regular Arcade and survival modes which feature their own simplified gameplay more similar to the original. Adding more content and varied content on a regular basis seems like the best game plan for this series in general, There are a lot of new menu icons for things "coming soon" all of which seem really interesting. I always want to see new weapon platforms, positions new means to extend gameplay, what is being showcased now is really promising. I know the game is VR capable too and I've read here that it can be buggy, however I've tested the VR capabilities on my Oculus Rift S and haven't run into problems with game breaking bugs. The interactive menu room is really fun and interesting it showcases various ingame objects and grabbable ones too, although it would always be nice to see more interact-able objects here its still a cool place overall. As far as the gameplay It takes some time to get used to but the switching of different weapon systems here and actually sitting in the turret is really something to see for yourself. Its really cool to be "sitting" in the seat of the boffor in VR totally beholden to all the chaos going on around you. I'm really impressed with the new features this latest update has given us, and I'm looking forward for more updates to come!

Wow, Beach Head is a lot of fun! Reminds me of some of my favorite arcade games. Those types of games that make you want to play one more level, and one more level, and one more level. I wish I had a VR set so I can try that out. The game has great sound effects, destructive environments, great shooting mechanics. Definitely pick this one up!

Loved this game back then and now i love the game even more! Glad i can stay home and not have to swing over to the local arcade too haha

Love these games, period. Just pure fun, fun, fun. That's the whole point is it not? The visuals are outstanding. Several different types of game play, options and most of all, plenty of killing. Buy it and you will not be pissed off, that you did!

Pra quem gosta de jogo de tiro, e que tenha uma boa dificuldade, esta no caminho certo. Uma experiência com VR deve ser outro nível, sorte de quem pode usar essa tecnologia. Parabéns ao Jogo!
