not enough player but seriously this is a good game and have a loooooooooooottttttttttttttttttttt potential

So far it is a pretty fun strategy game and would be a good casual time killer.

Archers have a ranged attack, clerics have a heal, warriors have a melee attack, etc. This creates inherent strategy elements, but they are very barebones and generic. They make a good framework for a game, but they need to be expanded upon to stay interesting. Battlecraft leaves them as is, presumably saving the more interesting mechanics for unlockable units, given that it is a free to play game. Unfortunately, after playing only a few rounds of it, the game became extremely static and repetitive. Overall, would not recommend, there are much better strategy games to play, probably even free ones. This one isn't worth your time.

Let casuals play casually [/list] I've not played this game very much yet, it only just came out and my list of games to play is ever expanding. So bare that in mind while reading. I can't rightfully speak of the game's balance, whether the game is fair or not in competitive play, etc. I had fun and I'll probably play it again. No regrets so far.

Battlecraft - Tactics Online is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a cash grab by lazy, greedy mobile devs. Or at least it was. This is a very basic mobile app with a turn based strategy core and some of the absolutely worst "voxel" styled "art" I've ever seen. Gameplay consists of tapping your iPhone screen to move blocky, badly rendered units around a small square grid, with super dumbed down, shallow gameplay to cater to the mobile peasants the game was designed for. The game features badly done Minecraft-like "Voxel Art" instead of contemporary graphical design. A lot of amateur developers see Minecraft's success and assume it's because it looks bad, not because it had unique and appealing game mechanics, and they try to emulate the success without understanding it. That's why reviewers are faced with so many of these terrible games with confrontingly bad graphics. Developers must learn that Minecraft succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. The developers never finished the mobile port (but this garbage is still being inflicted on mobile peasants, I guess they get what they deserve). Wisely, the developers removed this from Steam, understanding the error of their ways. Hopefully they won't come back. My gaming rig is not an iPhone.
