It's a bit clunky, sure, and the way accuracy is handled feels pretty bad to play, but it's a free game. Training up your units to get higher tier units is pretty fun, even if they end up dying unceremoniously shortly after. It's worth a few hours at least to play one or two campaigns if you like strategy games.

It's peak nostalgiaslop. Not sure if picking it up as a new player is worth it though, the battle mechanics are pretty rng.
I have about 300 hours on this game (off steam), since 2012. I've always loved it, it's awesome :)
