About
Bat has a VERY strange quirk...
He can only turn around by smacking his face into walls.
This will make saving the world somewhat difficult, but someone's gotta do it.
Super easy to play... and darn hard to beat, flap your way to the top of 5 punishingly-addicting levels while earning achievements, setting leaderboard times, and unlocking the many gameplay-earned cosmetic items.
Make no mistake, this is a rage game, but It's not nearly as punishing as other rage games because the levels are so much shorter and you can regain your progress very quickly.
Oh, and showing it to a friend and watching them rage is pretty entertaining.

Make no mistake, this game is extremely frustrating, especially the boss in level 2, the difficulty spike is one of the most intense I've ever seen in a game in my life, but if a rage-inducing game is what you are in the market for, this game excels. I have played and beaten getting over it, played jump king, pogostuck, chained together, and more of these style of rage games and this one without a shadow of a doubt has been the most rage-inducing out of all of them and it's frankly not even close. Truly a master work of the genre with even less mercy than games known within a genre for not having much mercy.

After finally having all the achievements, I have to say that the game is quite fun. Hard, but fair and fun. If you fall it was your mistake. However, it would be nice if there was an option to disable the short animation when restarting a run or entering the boss. The waiting time really adds up when you're trying to be as fast as possible and restarting every other minute.
Great game. Can't wait of the final levels!.
If you're good at any of the Foddian style games out there, you'll like this game. Most of the negative reviews about the difficulty are skill issues. It's difficult but entirely deterministic, there's no random elements that screw you out of nowhere. Also devs please add a ghost mode for your best times
Overall Review: Bat to Bed – Simple, Brutal, and High-Risk in the Best Way Hours played: 44min (more on mobile) Bat to Bed is one of those games that feels simple within the first few minutes — and then absolutely punishes you the moment you get comfortable. It’s not difficult in the traditional “complex mechanics” way. It’s easy to understand, easy to control, and easy to jump into. But the risk factor is what makes it intense. One mistake. That’s all it takes. And that’s exactly why it works. The game doesn’t overwhelm you with complicated systems or endless tutorials. Instead, it hands you a straightforward objective and lets the tension build naturally. Every action feels meaningful because the margin for error is so small. You’re not struggling to understand the mechanics — you’re struggling to execute them perfectly under pressure. Pros ✔ Easy to learn You can understand the core gameplay almost immediately. No complicated instructions, no bloated mechanics. It respects your time and lets you start playing right away. ✔ High-risk gameplay design This is the real hook. The game isn’t mechanically hard — it’s unforgiving. One slip-up and it’s over. That constant awareness creates tension that keeps you focused the entire time. ✔ Skill-based progression Success feels earned. When you finally get through a tough section cleanly, it’s because you executed properly, not because you got lucky. ✔ Addictive retry loop Since rounds are fast and failure can happen quickly, you’ll constantly think, “Okay, one more try.” That high-risk structure makes every run feel important. ✔ Clean, focused design There’s no unnecessary fluff. The game sticks to its idea and commits to it fully, which makes the experience feel tight and deliberate. Cons ✘ Can feel unforgiving If you’re someone who dislikes restarting after a single mistake, this game might get frustrating. It doesn’t always give you room to recover. ✘ Limited room for error Because of how high-risk the design is, experimentation can feel punishing. Trying something new sometimes means immediate failure. ✘ Not traditionally challenging Players looking for complex mechanics or deep systems might find it “too simple” on the surface — even though the execution challenge is very real. Gameplay & Mechanics Bat to Bed thrives on precision and awareness rather than complexity. The mechanics are straightforward, which makes every failure feel like it’s on you — not on confusing controls or unclear systems. The tension comes from knowing that you can succeed easily… but only if you don’t mess up. It creates a kind of mental pressure that’s different from games that are just mechanically hard. You’re not overwhelmed — you’re cautious. It’s almost like walking on a tightrope. The walk itself isn’t complicated. But one wrong step ends everything. That design choice keeps you fully locked in. Visuals & Audio The presentation supports the gameplay well. It doesn’t distract you or overcomplicate things. Everything feels built around clarity, which is important in a high-risk game like this. You need to see what’s happening instantly. Audio helps reinforce tension, especially in moments where you know one mistake means restarting. Even subtle sound cues can make you more aware of how close you are to failure. Replay Value Replay value is surprisingly strong because of the high-risk nature. Since success depends on clean execution, you’ll often want to go back and do better. Even after completing sections, there’s a strong urge to perfect them. The quick restart cycle also makes it easy to keep playing. Fail, reset, try again. It’s a loop that’s hard to break. Final Thoughts Bat to Bed proves that a game doesn’t need complicated systems to be intense. It’s easy to learn, fairly simple in structure, but built around a brutal high-risk design where one mistake ends the run. That tension is what makes it memorable. If you enjoy games that reward precision, punish carelessness, and keep you locked in from start to finish, Bat to Bed is absolutely worth playing. ⭐ 8/10
this game is just hard for the sake of being hard im at level 2 and the flame enemys that shoot flames are just annoying i feel like i gotta go up to dodge but their are enemys or something else i just dont recommand this if you want fun
It's relaxing, charming, and way more fun than it has any right to be. Somehow ended up genuinely feeling bad for the bat every time I fell. If you need a cozy game to unwind — this is it. Just don't let the bat down.
Completed the first 3 available levels and damn the game feels so good I don't really play rage games but this never felt ragey and just loved the experience waiting for more levels
