Basil and the Isles of Spice

A short and adorable 3D platformer! I never knew a gecko (or maybe some other kind of lizard?) could be this cute. I really enjoyed how the main character moves, especially with the mix of running and gliding. That said, the frame rate issues and high resource usage did hurt the experience. A performance optimization patch would really help. I also wasn’t sure how many shells I needed to collect, so I ended up re-exploring some areas just to be sure. Still, with all the running around and messing with the geometry, I finished the game in about half an hour. Despite the hiccups, it was a fun and charming little adventure while it lasted.

Cute demo. Would play a full game. A little buggy but still enjoyable. 7/10
