Basil and the Isles of Spice

It was a good game. I really liked the art direction and chill summer vibe music. It felt like childhood playing first nintendo 3d super mario game, which this is probably inspired based on. However, I got a beefy pc loaded up with an RTX 3080 coupled with 5800x and 32 gigs ddr4 running at infinity fabric 3600 mhz. In short CPU, GPU, Memory clocks all overclocked and undervolted. As good as they get. They rock Prime 95, y-cruncher, occt, all 3D Mark tests, Supertition etc. My damn PC can run fully path traced brand new expensive studio games at least on 60 FPS on 4K. So it is a crime you left this beautiful little game so unoptimized I had FPS drops to below 10 frequently on a 1080p monitor. Please fellas while you do all the good work, never forget to optimize your games. Don't present us games like Stalker 2 or Oblivion Remastered. PLEASE, optimization matters. I couldn't even get past those terrible fps drop spikes with the help of dual GPU and LSFG frame gen. That is my only criticism. Good luck in your carreers.

It's good, reminds me of banjo kazooie or really anything like that. Some bugs and doesnt run well on steamdeck.

I seriously loved my play through of this game & would definitely pay for a full game experience as I love everything about this game to the fun platforming to the adorable characters. :D This is a must play if you want to kick back & enjoy a fun little plat former. :)

the movement in this game is really well done. good mechanics. its quite a short game which is fair as it is free. but i definitely see a lot of potential for a longer game.

Short but fun little platformer, honestly was just nice running around to the tropical setting and music mechanics were simple but nice, especially running on water as a way to travel fast and gain momentum on jumps Only issue I had was wonky camera and character drifting even when not touching controller, otherwise I think its worth giving a try if you like platformers.

It's worth a play if you're into games like this but it has lots of bugs and other issues
