Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 6.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is one of the most emotionally exhausting games I've ever played—and I mean that as the highest praise. In an industry increasingly focused on instant gratification, Banishers asks something much harder of the player: Who are you when there isn't a right answer? The combat is good. The world is beautiful. The voice acting is excellent. But none of those are why I'll remember this game years from now. I'll remember it because almost every haunting forced me to stop playing and simply think. Not about loot. Not about which choice gave the better reward. About people. The writing refuses to reduce its characters to heroes and villains. Every haunting is built on grief, guilt, love, fear, selfishness, sacrifice, and impossible circumstances. I found myself caring about complete strangers after spending only twenty minutes with them because the game never treated them as quest dispensers. They felt human. I began my playthrough with a simple rule: every ghost deserves Ascension. As the game progressed, that rule evolved into something deeper. I realized I didn't believe it was my place to decide who deserved redemption or who deserved death. Every decision became a reflection of my own values rather than an attempt to "win." Very few games have ever made me ask, "Can I live with this decision?" instead of, "Was this the optimal choice?" The brilliance of Banishers isn't that it gives you meaningful choices. Plenty of games do that. It's that it refuses to reassure you afterward. There are no triumphant fanfares telling you that you picked correctly. Sometimes the person you desperately wanted to save can't be saved. Sometimes mercy hurts. Sometimes justice feels cruel. Sometimes neither feels right. That's what stayed with me. The relationship between Red and Antea grounds the entire experience. Their love never feels like a gimmick or a subplot—it is the emotional foundation upon which every decision rests. Every haunting is filtered through their own grief, making your choices feel personal rather than abstract. This isn't a game that tries to make you feel powerful. It's a game that asks whether compassion can survive uncertainty. If you're looking for flawless combat, constant spectacle, or clear-cut morality, this may not be the game for you. But if you've ever wanted a game that trusts you enough to wrestle with difficult questions—and then lets you live with your answers—Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is something genuinely special. It reminded me why I fell in love with storytelling in games in the first place. 9.5/10. Not because it's perfect, but because it had the courage to care about things that so many games no longer dare to.
A good idea, poor execution. This game's problems lie in its narrative and its characters. They evoke no emotion, save irritation. No empathy, no sympathy, not even hatred. The main character is completely insensitive. They try to portray every female character as "strong," "stronger than the main character," and they do it so poorly that the game feels absurd. For 1695 America, there are too many people per square meter with a nontraditional sexual orientation. The dialogue is boring and often ridiculous. The enemy variety is very limited. The problem with this game is that it's designed for a "modern audience" that doesn't exist. Ultimately, you don't believe in this world (setting); it doesn't feel believable, and you don't empathize with the characters. I'd start this game and put it down for 3-4 hours, then force myself to play for 15 minutes, couldn't take it anymore, and put it down again for several hours.
A very interesting action RPG with a lot of exploration and secrets to discover.
Golden Game, absolut wunderschöne Story. Banisher sollte eine erfolgreiche Gameserie werden.
Great story and amazing atmosphere, but the exploration is poor and the combat is repetitive. I usually love this genre and finish every RPG I pick up, but this one was so boring I couldn't bring myself to complete it. I wouldn't recommend it.
