Chato!
Absolute 10/10. This game is a marvel - great mechanics, adorable character!
BalloonBoyBob is yet another asset flip/construction kit template copy+paste from serial Russian shovelware asset flippers, Dnovel/FreeAnimals_Software. These guys do nothing but copy asset store assets and game tutorials, fill out a few things/stamp out basic levels using the construction kit templates, and dump them on Steam and into DailyIndieGame bundles as cash grabs. Today's "effort" from these guys is BalloonBoyBob, and it's a garbage asset flip from their commonly used Rotatex template (they have copied and pasted this exact same game onto Steam multiple times!) slapped together with the godawful Cocos2D game development toolset. As a game, it's terrible, of course. Locked resolution and controls, copied + pasted from a crap Cocos2D template... it's just garbage. For that reason, this is below acceptable standards, and has no real merit or value as a genuine, sincerely made PC game. Using game construction kits doesn't need any talent or professional game development effort, and results in shallow, low quality shovelware like BalloonBoyBob. The status of this thing as nothing but an asset/template flip/cash grab is cemented by the "developers" prior history of asset flip/construction kit copy+paste jobs, the fake/compromised Steam accounts they used to write fake reviews (all with the same broken English), the laughable $11 USD price tag for this garbage, and they way they dumped it into DailyIndieGame bundles immediately at launch. There's no serious value, substance or merit here worthy of consideration from PC gamers. I can't recommend it to anyone.
Warning: Review Manipulation!
This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in either Russian or broken English, appear almost immediately after the game launched on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and the accounts are used consistently to write fake reviews for asset flips and other cash grabs/scams. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this review manipulation.
4.5/10 - Not great - not terrible the whole idea is great and the art style worked for me. the problem I have with this game is that the level progression doesn't have any clear red line to it. there are some new mechanics that get added through the game but I would wish that these mechanics add upon each other rather than in a randomized playlist of 71 levels. the level design also feels a bit untested because you can easily finish some levels by sequence-break it by first try without knowing what the intended way would be. Which brings me to the somewhat broken controls. Sometimes the rotation gets stuck when you press another button while holding the rotation key and the "stick to ground" mechanic can be abused to slowly fall and take sharp in-air turns. I would recommend this game if ether the level progression was a bit more linear and thought through or the controls couldn't be abused that easily.
good game :)
𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞: A ball named Bob is a platformer in which everything turns upside down and where you have to overcome a huge pile of obstacles to get to the end. 𝐏𝐥𝐨𝐭: Bob is a small and brave ball, ready to embark on an adventure through a black-and-white world full of dangers and mysteries. In the game, you control the rotation of the screen and direct the trajectory of the character's movement. Bob can jump and overcome obstacles and cling to the surface. 𝐅𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬: 1. Convenient operation. 2. Smooth rotation, jumping and parkour. 3. The ability to jump over obstacles. 4. Original style and elaborate level design. 5. Lots of interesting quests. 6. Levers and switches. 7. Doors, keys and dangerous spikes. 8. 70 levels. 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲: A rather complex and interesting platformer from "our" developers, the main feature of which is the ability to rotate space in different directions and thereby move the main character around the level. We control a small ball named Bob, who needs to switch all the switches to pass the level in order to open the passage to the door. There are a lot of different obstacles around that are killing us. Also, you need to collect additional keys. To move around the level, you need to rotate the location in different directions so that Bob can roll in the right direction. At first, it's not enough to just get used to the management, but then it becomes easier. There is an opportunity to "stick" in place and at this time twist the location so as not to fly over the right place. For each completed level, an achievement is given. Normal control support from the gamepad is not implemented, you can configure "crutches" through programs for gamepads, but I would like to be able to play from any controller right away. The whole game is in black, white and red, simple in appearance, but it does not spoil it at all. The levels will get harder and harder as you progress. A good, complex platformer without unnecessary bells and whistles. 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞: 1. Interesting mechanics of the game with the rotation of locations. 2. Quite a difficult game to pass. 3. The presence of Russian localization. 4. Lots of levels. 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞: 1. There is no normal control from the gamepad. 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭: I recommend it for purchase. 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠:𝟼 /𝟷𝟶. Игра сама по себе весьма неплоха. Так чисто, для разнообразия поиграть вполне можно, может быть, даже нужно позалипать. Механика игры интересная. Прикольный шарик, за которого играешь на протяжении всех уровней :)
