About

Position and relocate your troops to fend off the Vikings, who each have their own counters to the threats you pose. Pick your battles and plan your evacuations carefully! Lose a commander and they’re gone forever; lose everything, and it’s game over!
You command the broad strokes of your defenses and monitor positioning — your soldiers do the rest, navigating and engaging intuitively in response to the situation at hand.
Each island is both stylistically charming and unique in its layout. Plan your strategies around every nook and cranny, for you only get one chance to save them from the enemy invasion.
A stronger, smarter defense leads to greater rewards. Use these to develop your subjects from a ragtag militia into seasoned warriors.
Your home is under attack. The king is dead at the hands of Viking invaders. Hope is a distant glimmer in the fog, fading fast with every passing moment. As you rise to take your father’s place as ruler, it will fall to you to stage your defenses. But make no mistake – this is no fight for victory, but a desperate grasp for survival.
Bad North is a charming but brutal real-time tactics roguelite. Defend your idyllic island kingdom against a horde of Viking invaders, as you lead the desperate exodus of your people. Command your loyal subjects to take full tactical advantage of the unique shape of each island. Everything is at stake: fail, and watch the blood of your subjects stain the ground red.
With beautiful procedurally-generated islands and adorable soldiers juxtaposed against the blood-stained realities of war. You control the broad strokes of the battle, giving high level commands to your soldiers who try their best to carry them out in the heat of the moment. It’s accessibly deep, with simple player inputs masking a dynamic combat simulation that make it inviting to new players while challenging veterans.

Reviews
A small concept rougelike where you defend procedurally generated islands from viking invaders. The gameplay is simple troop placement on a grid with rock/paper/scissors style balancing. Audio and visual design is really cute despite the gruesome concept. It's a simple game, but has enough depth the be enjoyable. I like it.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

not for me, or at least not now. I don't get a rewarding feeling, just punishment.
A simple but excellent little strategy game. Despite looking repetitive at first, the gameplay stays surprisingly varied. 100% Completion Time : 16,2H Completion Difficulty : 4/10 Playthroughs : 2 Missables : None Notable requirements : Complete a Hard campaign while recruting and keeping all commanders alive.
Nice and Cute Minimalist Stratergy Tactics Game!! Must for those who like to complete the game 100%, its difficult but entertaining
Very fun little strategy game, good if you have some time to kill. Very cheap even when not on sale. Quite addictive and very replayable.
Bad North: Jotunn Edition

Accessible and very Straightforward Strategy Game

Really worth trying!
Bad North is a minimalist RTS game set in a world covered with procedurally generated islands that we must defend from viking invaders. The game stands out for its low-poly visual style and its simple strategy ‘rock-paper-scissors’ gameplay, which can be exploited in a variety of cool ways. However, I noticed that the Steam version of the game is much more expensive than the mobile one, despite having the same content. For this reason, I recommend picking up the game on sale for around $3, which is the price I got it some time ago. This game is worth owning on PC due to the comfort this platform offers when playing strategy games. Gameplay: Engaging wave-based strategy game with great terrain mechanics Art: Nice minimalist art style with attractive environments Music: Unremarkable and basic soundtrack
Gameplay
Bad North is a strategy game with fairly simplified mechanics. Combat is pretty fun and engaging. The troop management is also easy to understand and it's reduced to movement commands, special items and skills. However, the game truly shines in its terrain-based combat mechanics. The game offers a wide variety of environments and natural elements that can be used strategically during the defense of the islands. For example, placing pikemen on elevated slopes to halt heavy enemy advances, or positioning archers on hills and high ground to increase their range and visibility against enemies. On the other hand, one noticeable downside is the limited variety of units available to the player, with only archers, pikemen, and line infantry to choose from. Meanwhile, the enemy has access to roughly twice as many unit types. One aspect I really liked about the game was the inclusion of unique abilities for each battalion. This adds much more utility and customization to each unit, along with the option to equip them with special items.
Art and World Design
The game’s graphics are quite appealing, and as I mentioned before, they feature a simple and yet effective style for representing different elements such as warriors, ships, environments and weapons. Additionally, the map design is good and diverse, its randomization adds a certain level of replayability to the game along with the randomized invading army of course.
Music and Sound effects
The game’s music is barely noticeable, although there are some themes that are a bit interesting. On the other hand, the game’s sound atmosphere is quite good and helps maintain the tension during each gameplay.
Não curti a gameplay, vc acha que tá forte dai do nada o RNG te ferra.
