Already a pretty fun arcade game by itself, which is the important part. The presentation really does a lot to distinguish from just some random web game. That said, it would be better if there was some sort of long term-ish progression or "meat" to the game. Even just a barebones season or tournament mode would go a long way in my enjoyment of the game, as basic as it sounds. Having named teams, playoff series, maybe even individual hitters with differing distributions and persistent stats, these would create a narrative and transform this game from "oh i got 5 minutes ill put on a game" to "alright lets crank out a full season for an hour or two." Obviously this is just a skeleton at the moment, but I think there's great potential here!
Game was rather fun. Start of the game is a little odd with the player having to swing for both their turn and the CPU turn, but overall its enjoyable.
A simple take on baseball that combines pachinko with the basic rules used for old school "pitch n' bat" machines. It's a lot of fun and really lights up the pleasure centers. Choose the power for your swing on a slider, press the button, and watch your ball bounce its way down a series of pegs into a scoring slot at the bottom. Beat the CPU or a human opponent in a 3-inning game. Use a pinch hitter to give yourself better scoring slots. Marvel at your stats. Play again. There isn't much here at all right now, but an announced streak mode that adds power-ups could really put this in the must have category if it introduces some fun rogue-lite nonsense. I have two minor mechanical gripes: -It does not recognize left handed mouse settings. -I feel like the power meter could go a little lower. I think the left side of the board is more random than the right due to better precision on the right hand side. Anyway! I'd love to see more games just like this.
Playing against the computer kept me amused for hours, though it kept kicking my ass lol. I really like the feel of this one, the music, SFX and visuals do a lot for that 'good feelings' vibe. Then I took my laptop to a friends house and plugged it into the TV. Two player mode is an absolute blast - get a few beers and peanuts in and go play a tournament with your friends - it's a really fun night. For clarification on my play time; I got to play this in Beta so my play time is longer than indicated here :)
"What if Peggle, but Baseball? This game has the answer. Super-casual little game, and yet it can get surprisingly intense for what is basically pure luck. One of my favorite aspects of the sport of baseball is the drama of a ball in play with the game on the line, and this actually manages to scratch that specific itch amazingly well for how simple it is. I especially enjoy the attention to detail, like the way it plays the notes of "Take me out to the ballgame" with every bounce, and the multi-colored peanuts/hot dogs/beer streamers that follow the ball. Anyone who is a fan of baseball should thoroughly enjoy this game!
Great game, love the sounds and music!
a fun way to waste a little time
There's a type of game that I don't really consider a "game" as much as i consider it like. A little toy to play with. This is one of those, and it's cute! wouldn't really recommend it unless you have a buck or two to throw at a funny toy, but it's a very cute funny toy
I love Peggle, I love Plinko, I love pinball, I love those old timey baseball games with the steel balls, and I love this game! What a great idea! I'm glad there are creative people like you in the world making fun things. Cheers to you!
Excellent Pachinko and Baseball mash-up. They just added Streak Mode which is a little campaign, and it can be set as difficult as you like.
