I am trying really really hard to like this game. The art looks good, the idea is there, it just baffles me beyond belief how someone could make such an unfun rng riddled mess. You start night 3 and pray to god that you get a bunch of power in the first few seconds because the rest of the night you'll be sitting in front of the furnace while checking deer that come and go so quickly that they sometimes spawn in and INSTANTLY kill you. I don't mind a challenge, I would not be angry at all if the gameplay wasn't so poorly designed. You get a bit of power or the circle is approaching the spot for getting said power? deer at your door. no way to differentiate good or bad deer without visuals so you have to use the power you just got to look at the deer and then 2 more come while you're trying to get your warmth up. By the time you can get another bit of power you're at 30% and are fighting an uphill battle that you will not win because you just run out of time and have to start over anyway. I mentioned it before but the deer are so genuinely relentless that sometimes an evil one will show up and kill you in the same tick, and I've had scenarios where I fend off one, just for another to appear as I'm putting down the laser shield and it kills me anyway. There needs to be a serious rebalancing for this game to be the fun and skill based survival game it is trying so damn hard to be. I'd recommend adding another arrow to the furnace leading to the generator to make the office feel like a 360 degree space, and make it so the generator generates more power per click on more aggressive nights so you're not just floundering (and failing) to meet quota. There are some ambient growls that *could* signify the evil deer approaching, but it doesn't seem to be the case every single time. I will finish this game and change my review to a positive one if there is an update to make the experience better at some point in the future
