About
Bad Dream: Purgatory is a surreal point and click game set in an abandoned and forgotten project, filled with unused characters from a cancelled game. These characters are trapped in a state of limbo, suspended in nothingness without any purpose or direction. It's up to you to decide their fate and give them the meaning they so desperately crave. "You can't die if you've never lived" - but what if you only exist as a first thought, a person without any depth?
Unlike previous Bad Dream games, Purgatory is presented in a side-scrolling format giving players a more immersive and personal experience. The artstyle is simplistic, with hand-drawn illustrations that perfectly capture the game's atmosphere.
Important: The game has a full Point & Click mode with a static camera.
The game consists of three chapters. Two of them (the introductory one and the simplified ending) are linear. The open world is non-linear and includes all achievements and a "true ending."
Game Features:
A non-linear chapter allowing you to hunt for secrets and achievements
Two modes of gameplay (side-scrolling or static camera)
Interactive environment
Sound environments - SFX sound different in different rooms (echo, muffled sound, etc.)
Custom music and sound effects ( I learned how to compose my own music and I bought a microphone to record my own SFX )
Artstyle - I learned how to draw as well :P
A game made by one person - Guys. I even drew my own fonts :P To be fair I wasn't able to record ALL SFX myself, but other than that I made this game alone. Btw. NO AI
This is version 2.0, released in July 2026. It includes a multitude of changes, improvements, and fixes. The biggest one is the switch from 2.5D to side-scrolling mode.
(The first version is still available for download as the "old version" - tutorial in the pinned post)

Fajna gierka =)
A strange walking simulator with ramifying endings based on what you do. This isn't face paced by any stretch, but if you are patient enough, you will reap rewards. Strange blend of macabre, surrealist, introspective and well.. bad dream consistent. I'd say there's at least a good 2-3 hours of content finding all the endings and achievements, but I would warn you that the best way to experience this is stoned. TLDR: It will be good if you are stoned, be patient!
I recommend trying some of the free games this studio offers, and if you like their style then go for it! I am bias because I played a lot of Desert Fox growing up, but I'm a fan of what they put out. I especially recommend this if you're an angsty teen (or an angsty teen at heart)
Purgatory stands out among the other Bad Dream games with its 3D setting/movement and very minimalistic atmosphere. Like the other games, there's a lot of paths to explore (particularly in the open world) and your choices will influence how things change to an extent. The puzzles can be rather confusing in the open world, but it's satisfying when you finally figure out how to progress. There are a lot of secrets and paths I haven't been able to figure out yet, but I hope I'll get there eventually. Someone really needs to make a walkthrough... that said, it's a fun game that's worth buying if you're willing to accept the challenges!
my brain cells are crying, but it's still very good game bros
Oh boy! This game definitely shows high quality, especially from the direction 2D to 3D exploration. Although there's not much to talk about other than in generally it is a very small game. You have the main story chapters combined with open world exploration. Open world exploration however is the main attraction since you'll need loooots of running back and forth. Meaning plenty of interactions to do if you are up for secrets and every nook and crannies to find! (I highly suggest you to increase your character speed inside options once done with main storyline to make it easier) It dooooes become a bit repetitive but it's worth knowing you kinda get very used to it and the horror aspects become more of a reward than seeing them a scare. But glad to see some personality does evolve and story does thicken from other entries to this one. Did spent fair amount of time so not complaining.
Прикольная игрушка, которую если пройти, то можно открыть свободный режим со множеством различных путей прохождения.
I am a HUGE fan of all Desert Fox games and this one is no different in that sense. I love the art style, its always right up my street. The movement is different to what i'm used to with their other games but that really doesn't matter and if anything made me love it even more because the dev is trying something new! It did take me a bit of time to figure out the looking at or using item thing and when watching people stream this game on release, it did take others some time as well but once you figure that out you are good to go!
真的太晕了 有缘再启动吧 我都不知道该不该好评 毕竟一次性玩18分钟就把我击溃了
