Power-ups are back and crazier than ever, adding chaos and fun to every game. Pitchers can unleash FIRE BALLS, CRAZY BALLS, and FREEZEBALLS on unsuspecting hitters, while batters can wield CRAZY BUNTS, UNDERGROUNDERS, and the legendary ALUMINUM POWER BAT to rack up runs.

Backyard Baseball is iconic because we play the game a little differently than most. Follow these rules and let the fun begin!
PICK YOUR TEAM: Choose from 30 beloved Backyard kids to assemble your roster.
SET YOUR LINE UP: Assign positions and a batting order. Choose wisely!
PLAY LIKE A KID: In the Backyard there are no injuries, and while all kids make errors, it is a feature you can turn off. Need to use a tee? No problem! There are plenty of ways to customize your experience, but above all: have fun and Play Like a Kid™!

This is my first Backyard Baseball game and i like it. I have no idea that this game is super fun and planning to play coop with my bro later this week. The 3D stylized designs are great, the special skills are good and funny, and loving the animations too.
very good baseball ye
Pure game
Played the original all the time as a kid. Such a blast revisiting all these years later!
This one is a joy to play! I find the visual style charming, goofy, and full of personality, perfectly capturing the fun atmosphere the series is known for. I'm also really happy it launched with local multiplayer, and I can't wait for the online multiplayer update. A fantastic comeback, and I'm excited to see how it grows from here!
Let's call it what it is. This game is in early access right now. Single-player content is here but difficulty is clearly not tuned well and PvP is still unavailable. Also, spectator mode (CPU v CPU pickup games) is not implemented despite many players asking for it. The new graphical style looks great (imo) and the character animations are quite charming. The sound design is on point, as is all the voice acting. There are many references/throwbacks to the old games that make it clear the dev team both did their research and have a passion for reviving this IP. Other reviewers point out that there's a lot more micro-management required for fielding and I have to wonder if this was done in order to make the (potential, future) online play more engaging/skill-based. Either way, this significantly raises the skill floor of the single-player game, which I'm not sure that I like. Hopefully I'll just git gud and it won't be a problem. It does feel like Mega Cat/Playground Productions are trying to sell players on the nostalgia of the older games because of the $40 price-point, which, despite all the touch-ups, improvements, and reviving the IP, makes it hard to recommend. But damn do I love Backyard Baseball.
10/10, updates are gonna be fire
MLB The show my ass
MELHOR DE TODOS
As a millennial who loved the 97 and 2001 Backyard Baseball and other Backyard Sports games, this game scratches the nostalgia itch while also being well updated enough to feel new. Fielding takes a bit to get the hang of but once you do, it makes fielding way more precise than the older versions of this game. The fidelity to characters is great. It's also way more realistic in terms of pitching stamina because it was previously ridiculous that Kenny could make it through an entire game without ever getting tired. Also I love the little animations on various fields when you hit objects during the game. The graphics are great and overall I think this game is really enjoyable.
