Power-ups are back and crazier than ever, adding chaos and fun to every game. Pitchers can unleash FIRE BALLS, CRAZY BALLS, and FREEZEBALLS on unsuspecting hitters, while batters can wield CRAZY BUNTS, UNDERGROUNDERS, and the legendary ALUMINUM POWER BAT to rack up runs.

Backyard Baseball is iconic because we play the game a little differently than most. Follow these rules and let the fun begin!
PICK YOUR TEAM: Choose from 30 beloved Backyard kids to assemble your roster.
SET YOUR LINE UP: Assign positions and a batting order. Choose wisely!
PLAY LIKE A KID: In the Backyard there are no injuries, and while all kids make errors, it is a feature you can turn off. Need to use a tee? No problem! There are plenty of ways to customize your experience, but above all: have fun and Play Like a Kid™!

this game is amazing, it doesn't take long to get the hang of it, but it does take long to master. There are many things about this game that I like, including the cards, tons of game modes, packs, custom bats and kids that are able to be made, and everything about the game. This game is just one of my favorites ever. Whenever I find out how to rate this game, I rate this a 5 stars.
Good remake!
Nostalgia + updated graphics makes this an instant cozy game for me on my Mac
pablo is the goat
this game, it has sauce. its not perfect, but its got real freaking sauce
first of all, This BYB is the most impressive and improved mechanic in dev's franchise. BUT, as any other person has commented its critism about this game.. YES, the higher diff = (much more easier your opp can) hit your pitch, outrun you in each bases, more easier for em to homerun you, ect. the in-game system implementation ARE RIDICULOUS! if you wanna enjoy the feeling of playing baseball genre, keep playing on lower-middle diff. BUT, for me 10/10
This game brings back the trills of the oringinal game, watch out for glitches though.
Played the original version on RealArcade back in the day, this remake is a solid visual upgrade that looks, sounds, and feels like the original. It's easy to pick up and get playing, all the fun and diverse characters are back with a few new ones (plus the character creator is a nice addition). The collectible baseball cards are a nice touch, with some really nice artwork. Only gripe is that specials are harder to get for pitching than it is for batting. Feels like it would be better if you could gradually increase the special meter through getting strikes than only getting a complete meter through strikeouts. The audio playback also needs ironing out, the commentators keep talking over themselves and get cut off by the scoreboard. Looking forward to online multiplayer!
very fun and cool to play. very good graphics and very competitive love this game.
This game delivers as a kid who played the original PC game in the 90s. The fielding needs to be better. I want to acknowledge that. I played my first pickup game and I got walloped despite mastering all the original iterations. I appreciate trying to improve on this now in 2026 and I think the new game better rewards skill. I do enjoy that much more as an elder gamer now! I think many of the critiques are valid, and I hope they can be fixed in the interim. I paid for this game. I support the vision. And despite the flaws, I am enjoying the game and I recommend it.
