About
Play alone, or team up with friends (or strangers!) in up to 6-player co-op. Enjoy hilarious moments as you watch them die from the horrors you encounter, as proximity voice chat carries their screams down the halls.
Encounter dangerous entities from across the Backrooms as you push deeper through each level. Each entity has its own behavior and way of hunting the player. Learn what they react to and how to survive.
Explore photorealistic environments, handcrafted to feel unsettling. Life like visuals and spatialized audio remove all barriers between you and the game. Start in the yellow halls of Level 0 as you descend deeper into the Backrooms.
Every level brings its own environment, mechanics, and threats to survive. Even within the same level, each attempt brings different layouts, item spawns, and entity encounters. No two runs are the same.
Backrooms: Escape Together is a co-op survival horror game featuring lifelike graphics, proximity voice chat, and horrifying entities. You and up to 5 friends must make your way through 11 fully procedurally generated levels using what's available to you to progress deeper into the Backrooms.
Every level is a mini-adventure of its own, hosting unique gameplay, puzzles, lootable items, environments, and entities. Levels will be added constantly throughout Early Access as we grow the game into the best multiplayer experience to date.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

The game is fun... the first time. Once you’ve played each level once (there are 11 levels, btw) in 1-2 runs you’ve seen them all. It just becomes "more of the same". I finished the game in literally 2 sessions with friends. HUGE PROBLEMS: 1. Death = Waiting Simulator Once you die, you’re literally put in a time-out. You have nothing to do and you must wait for your friends to complete the level. Every time someone died, they just started doing something else: playing another game, doing IRL stuff... To make it worse: if your friends don’t see you dying, they have no way to tell if they have to wait for you or not, except by completing the level. Peak game design. 2. Stamina Bar The stamina bar is only visible in the tab menu. There’s literally no reason for that. You can’t manage your stamina without tabbing, which is a really bad design choice. 3. SOFTLOCKS I managed to get softlocked in the pool rooms. I got separated from the team by a closing door — no spoilers — and my team had to complete the puzzle without me. Problem: once they completed it, I was cut out and we couldn’t finish the level except by kicking me out of the lobby. 4. ITEMS Most items are just a bunch of + and -. But they all end up feeling the same: "Does this thing refill my stamina?" Everything else is just useless stuff 99% of the time. 5. OPTIMIZATION Despite the (relatively) low pc req, the game transforms your PC in a Jet Engine if you don't lower the video settings The game could genuinely become something cool, but in its current state it’s an overpriced 3-hour game with 0 replayability. If you’re looking for something similar but with MUCH MORE depth and love, I’d suggest Kletka.
good game, but it needs more levels
