Nice information and tidbits of history, but really bad graphics, its mostly static 360 images that arent really high quality so they look blurred. But its Free and informative, i learned things about this topic i probably wouldnt have otherwise. Good for a single run, i mean, its free.
Really amazing and informative. I can't go there myself, but I feel like I've been, and I can really imagine what it was like when the temple was the center of the local daily life. It awakened my imagination and made me ask so many unanswerable questions.
Baalbek Reborn: Temples is a free VR experience that is a 360 degree guided tour of Ancient Roman Temples in Baalbek, Lebanon. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, was understandable. Has language choice of English, French, German, Arabic. Has The UI looks ok and works . You can also play this on your display with mouse, or tablet. The location photography is very good. They done CGI renderings of ancient times and added them to the tour. Has a tutorial. Has English speaking narrator providing scripted audio tour guide. Try this, if you like ancient history.
Interesting ap/software. Not technically a game, but a look at how the temples at Baalbek might have looked. Decent.
I hope to find much more like this in VR! The guided tour was informative. My imagination was running wild at times, making it hard to focus on what the guide was saying. Fortunately, every section can be replayed and the tour can even be self-guided as well, if you don't want o hear some nerd talking at you the whole time. Can't recommend this enough... Especially considering it was a free download! This is a place that is currently quite difficult for an American to visit. Recommend you go in VR!
