It is way to buggy and it seems like they wont fix that anytime soon. I counted many cities that I took over and they weren't counting on my score and then I restarted and did the SAME EXACT THING and then it counted. Don't waste your money because this game is too buggy.

I don't recommend or not recommend this game. The game is based off the board game of the same name. I was happy to see the game on Steam. There have been some small crashes, but I wouldn't stop playing because of the crashes. The only problem I've experienced with the game is the RNG. I roll a lot of 5s and 6s which would be great if I was playing Flames of War. It is a growing frustration. The RNG is a representation of six sided dice. Units from infantry to battleships roll dice (RNG) to decide hits during combat. I feel it's flawed. During my placement matches for ranked games it was awesome. Had some close battles where I was left with one unit. Sometimes having to sacrifice air units to capture a territory. Attacked India with a comparable force, after sacrificing my air units I captured India with one tank. It was fun. Here's the problem I've been experiencing now I've finished my placement matches. During the "Combat Phase" the first round I miss every shot regardless of which side I'm playing, size of force or unit. I attacked 4 artillery pieces with 3 infantry 1 artillery 3 tanks and 1 bomber. The first round I missed every shot, and the defender hit three times. Second round with 1 artillery 3 tanks 1 bomber I hit twice, and the defender hit twice. The third round with 2 tanks and 1 bomber I hit once, and the defender hit again. The fourth round I had one hit and the defender with no hits was defeated. This is happening all the time across multiple games and regardless of the size of force. I attacked with 5 infantry 2 artillery 1 tank 1 bomber, and 3 cruisers for naval bombardment, attacking a sizeable force twice the size of mine. I wasn't expecting to win. I was expecting to do damage. Two cruisers hit, and I thought it was off the a good start. The rest of my force all misses. Defender rolls 11 hits or around two thirds of their force. This is happening about 65 - 70% of the time. I understand it's not a given your going to hit every time. Attacking something with 4 or less rolls isn't a guaranteed hit, but I keep missing all of my four rolls as well. Again this happens around 65-70% of the time across multiple games. I've seen this happen to other people as well. They attacked 2 infantry 1 artillery and 1 tank with a few infantry artillery and 1 tank for a total of 8 units. They lost everything and I lost nothing. This happened again they attacked 3 infantry with 3 infantry and 1 artillery. They lost everything I lost 1 infantry. They forfeited the game after 12 minutes. This has happened several times. I wanted to see how close of a representation it was to dice rolls. I used three or less and two or less with five dice and 2 dice rolling twenty times. Three or less using 5 dice shows hits every time, 1 hit 1 time, 2 hits 7 times, 3 hits 9 times, and 4 hits 3 times. Three or less with 2 dice showed hits 80% of the time; zero hits 4 times, 1 hit 9 times, and 2 hits 7 times. With two or less using five dice; zero hits 4 times, 1 hit 9 times, 2 hits 6 times, and 3 hits 1 time. Using two dice; zero hits 12 times, 1 hit 7 times, and 2 hits 1 time. It has become frustrating with this RNG. More than likely they're using the RNG that comes with .NET framework utilizing C#. People working with randomness feel the computer generated RNG is flawed and I agree. One resource is random.org.
An excellent adaptation of the board game. Good for
I love Axis and Allies, for 10 dollars it is a very well made game and I'm suprised at how well multiplayer works. I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys strategy games.
I love this game, I recommend this game to play online with friends and family. I use this game to practice for my family's IRL board game to keep up the practice.
I absolutely love this game but I have a few requests. Not sure if my post means anything to Beamdog though. First off, you should be able to see the dice rolls and battle results of the other player without having the actively spectate them. Ive had tons of lucky and unlucky results defensively and it would be nice to see what rolls I got mid battle. Another quality of life feature could be a time-lapse or replay of the entire game once its finished, so you can see and remember all that happened and show your friends. I had a game where I had all of the pacific islands as America and Germany had all of Africa and Asia and I pushed them all the way back to Moscow. It would have been really nice to get a replay of it. One last thing that you should be able to do is talk to your opponent in a chat after a game is over, or be able to chat with your teammates in game when playing custom battles without having to put map notes all over the place. This would be a great way to have better teamwork and coordination when playing with random players in custom games, while being able to chat after a ranked game can help you make new friends or discuss strategies together. Im hoping this message can eventually be seen by the developers and they can listen to other peoples thoughts and actually start updating the game again. If any of you all have any other ideas please post them.
