I really liked this game. I wish there was more of it.

Oh man. yeah new PC new everything. Tried to run this game several times. I get right up to doing the tutorial and it crashes. I have not once been able to get this game to work on my PC. Very very disappointed. I played this on my Playstation and enjoyed it very much. Figured I wasn't losing anything by buying it for PC - I WAS EXTREMELY WRONG!!!!

This plays with no problems on my Linux Mint with Proton-GE. I'm sad that according to several reviews below it has quit working under Win11, but is that the fault of the 9 year old game or Windows? The game itself is quite fun and chill; I still go back about once a year to play through the campaign.

Game closes after couple minutes. its been like this for years and no sulotion. blocking internet by firewall waas a sulotion first find but that doens't work anymore. useless game can't even get in a game anymore or it closses.

Game randomly CTDs 5 mins after launch

This is barely a yes. The story of the game isn't too bad, but feels kind of short. None of the campaigns are really that hard and the achievements are all doable. The issue I have is that you really aren't going to design a city according to what you really want to do. There are things scattered across the map that you have to reach out to get, making your base have sprawling arms. Thus, you have low creativity as you have to build in certain ways to have a chance of winning. Since you often run out of resources, you will be stuck waiting for things to do, even at 8x speed. In the scenarios, you have to build according to missions they give and you need to go 1x speed as speeding up doesn't make them complete/go to the next one any faster. At the end of the day, this game is something to do, but not really innovative in any way.

Honestly not a bad little colony manager. It's nothing stellar, but it's pretty fun. Underrated in its time.

Aven Colony me ha demostrado que los juegos de gestión de civilizaciones no siempre deben ser en la edad media o época colonial para ser exigentes y buenos. La cantidad de adversidades que te ofrece y las posibilidades, además de toda la cantidad de edificios y sus diferentes utilidades le da ese toque necesario de dificultad, pero sin llegar a abrumar. Y para colmo posee un sistema de política y de prioridades que me parece genial ya que de forma automática el juego irá a lo que tu previamente hayas fijado cómo prioritario. Sin duda es un juego que se debe probar y que cada cuál saque sus propias conclusiones, para mi es un excelente.
