Game comes across as a meme game but then you start playing and have fun creating new parties and seeing how far you can get into the game. Especially fun for people like me who mid run may have to walk away and can start right back up where I left off.

Easy to play, difficult to master roguelike monster-catcher/autobattler mix. It's surprisingly fun to play, but suffers from poor balancing and has a very low selection of meaningful unlocks.

I'd play more games like this. It's clearly mocking it's inspiration, but in a fun way. I would enjoy just a straight up game like this without the humor. Recommended, especially for the price!

It's a good premise, it's just sorely lacking in content. If you get the collector with level-up ATK buffs and a sniper, then you can steamroll everything for hundreds of rounds. It's not a true roguelite; this is a roguelike where there's no carry-over unlocks or upgrade trees besides different characters and knowing which automons are in each area. To improve this I think you'd need to do an overhaul on the base mechanics along with a huge expansion. After clearing the first champion, there is basically nothing more to the game besides seeing how far you can get. Well, I'm not opposed to infinite rounds in games like these, but there needs to be something more to keep it exciting. And since a permanent increases to stats is clearly way more useful than anything else, there needs to be some kind of balance for that - be it making other strong avenues of upgrading, or nerfing these abilities. Most consumables also seem to just dilute rewards and will never get action. Besides healing, I couldn't really find a use for them. It might be worth making them more interesting, or nerfing the healing options. Alternative areas, and like 20x the content would probably elevate this game. But I am going to just uninstall it, got around 3 hours of gameplay. Make of that what you will.

basically, what if Super Auto Pets was good? The humour & Style is absolutely perfect for this type of game and deceives you because the mechanics are quite deep for this genre
