If you were looking for Game of Life you know what you wanted. So what you probably want to know is if this port of this simulation is well executed. It's not. The fist thing that annoyed me is the fact that you cannot restart the simulation from your seed. So you can't iterate your design easily. You can reload your save, but you would have to save every time you change anything and retype the filename each time. You can't step back one tick. So if you would want to go a few ticks back to check what happened, then sorry, but no. The drawing gets annoying fast. You have to draw every cell with your mouse. Can't copy and paste a pattern. Can't create patterns, save them and use them later. Nope. Just click to add cell or click on a cell to remove it. You can click and drag to create a line, but that's not very useful. In short, bad execution of a 54 year old idea.

I play my own game inside Auto Cell: The Game of Life. START – I draw a random seed and start the evolution. The difficulty of the game depends on how complex the seed is. WAIT – I let the evolution play out until it stabilizes—usually ending in still lifes, oscillators, and gliders. But waiting isn't required; I can jump in anytime during the chaos. ENEMIES – All active cells and moving patterns are now enemies. My goal: clear the field. ATTACK – I "shoot" by clicking on empty cells near or inside the patterns, breaking their structure and making them disappear—like tactical pixel warfare. COUNTERATTACK – Sometimes the patterns die quietly. Sometimes they mutate and spawn new threats. WIN – When the field is empty and no cells remain alive, I win. It’s a simple game... inside the game. Anyone else playing like this? Got any ideas to improve it or invent new rules?
