Very good game! Simple mechanics, yet still beautifully challenging. Would recommend especially if you like retro arcade games.
Feels like a lost Vectrex game (compliment). I recommend turning on smooth graphics for something closer to a vector feel and finding something to listen to while playing - the single looping song grates. That said, the controls help give it a really satisfying skill ceiling per-level, and figuring out the optimal paths is really rewarding. I'm gonna be playing more of this.
Really fun little game, perfect for speedrunning too! Absolutely recommend it!
It has a simple, well-executed concept. I think i would've preferred the soundtrack to be a bit more high-energy, so it matches the gameplay more. The level design's pretty clever: it gets you moving fast, it puts you in tight corridors and makes those thread the needle moments. I think asteroid drift succeeds at everything it wants to do, and, well, it's just really fun, definitely worth the 3 bucks.
I love exploding into walls 10/10
This game is actually pretty addicting. The controls took a little getting used to but after a couple levels they started to feel really good. I'm not normally into speed running but I found myself starting every level over and over again until I could get the Gold medal. It really does feel like when you lose it's your own fault. For $3 this is an easy recommend!
What can I say. It fixed my ED.
It's good, it's clean, fun to drift around and shoot gaps and the thrust weakening the steering means you have to let go of the thrust to make a tight turn which makes it feel very much like drifting or something momentum-y and cutty. It's 1$ and fun, lots of levels probably a couple hours of levels if you restart most of them a few times like I have. GG.
Reminds me of those older arcade games I'd get addicted to as a kid. Just one... more... TRY!!! The movement is really easy to pick up in my opinion and you'll need to master it in order to beat these levels. You'll die a lot too, but that's part of the fun. And for only $3, this is a steal!
Love the aesthetics and the design of the levels! The game is really challenging in a way that makes you keep trying, and there is a healthy amount of achievements for any completionists out there. It would be cool to see some sort of "practice mode" for getting used to the controls, but that's just a suggestion. Good game!
