Assault Suit Leynos 2 Saturn Tribute

原作ではクリアデータ使用した2周目プレイでの機体・武器・デバイスの入手が不可能でしたが、サターントリビュートでは周回プレイで入手可能に変更されています。 これだけで神移植。 隠し機体の1機である[spoiler]ガーウィン[/spoiler]が、ミッションクリア後もENが回復せず数値据え置きになる問題は修正されていません（仕様？） 上記機体使用直前のクイックセーブデータを上書きしないように注意。

Glad to finally play this in English. It seems to run just like the original, with some slowdown on big enemies but nothing bad. The customization is really in depth. Game is pretty hard to get a good score on but there are some options to boost your Assault Suit.

(x-posted to my wordpress blog, Gunlord500) Worth 20 bucks for mecha aficionados, though I agree with those who say its a little too expensive for the content. You can beat the main game in 2 hours or so, although the real replay value consists in redoing missions to use the best loadouts and unlock all the stuff. There's also no real plot lol, and the graphics havent been updated at all (there's even slowdown for a game this old!) Gameplay is pretty much the same as Leynos, though IMO the control scheme is a little clunkier. And while the graphics havent been updated, theyre very good for old school sprite fans! However, the localization is very good, with not only a translation but a neat save state function thats like playing an emulator, but on Steam! For that reason alone I'm gonna give this a positive review, cause IMO a passion project like this is worth supporting, even if it may not seem to be exactly worth 20 dollars. Props to the team for bringing this back! I hope they translate the Valken 2 strategy game as well...

SS的舊遊戲重裝機兵LEYNOS2的移植，條列一些優缺點 優點: (1)做為移植品質不差 雖然沒有玩過SS的原始版沒辦法比較模擬的細節是不是有不同，不過這個移植版除了移植遊戲本身之外，還有把遊戲內的文本也中文翻譯，而且有特別設計過點陣字體，跟一般舊遊戲只有照搬原始遊戲的文本一比算是挺有誠意的 除了中文有翻譯之外，還增加輔助設定可以選擇，打開可以提升自機的血量、護盾、跟減少噴射消耗，所以對自己技術沒信心的應該也不必怕破不了，另外每關只要按下SELECT叫出遊戲外的系統選單還會看到官方給的攻略提示，雖然不按照提示也可以破，不過卡關的時候是一個不錯的參考依據 另外遊戲外選單的檔案庫裡面有整理遊戲裡各種零件的效果(原始遊戲裡是不會顯示的)，搞不清楚零件的功能時這個設計算是挺貼心的，雖然我一直到全破才發現，為什麼這個功能不一併列到說明書就好了..... (2)操作系統優秀 在個人玩過的橫向捲軸機甲遊戲裡也算是相當優秀的操作，有重量感但噴射跟加速時又兼具速度感，射擊有自動鎖定跟FIX模式可以開關，自動鎖定還有3種模式可以設定(決定優先攻擊的目標)，整體來說有機器人的厚重感但又不至於笨重 受益於SS手把按鈕數的優勢(相比MD的Leynos跟SFC的VALKEN)，自機最多可以安裝3種武器而且都有獨立的按鈕可以使用，不必手忙腳亂的切換，可以更好的在不同的情況運用不同的武器 (3)零件種類非常之多 光是武器種類就很豐富，從基本的機槍、散彈槍，到飛彈、噴火器、格林機槍、能量武器、盾牌甚至防護罩都有，這些裝備還各有性能不同的版本，通常性能越好會越重，要在負重允許的情況下取捨 除了武器之外還有數種不同的機體、裝甲、輔助掛件等等零件可以在遊戲中取得，能對機體做的細部調整相當豐富 再來就是缺點了 (1)關卡少 最可惜的一點，遊戲關卡不算多，全部只有7關 如果只是一個典型的單線無成長要素的橫向捲軸ACT可能還好，偏偏Leynos2能調整的機體細節很多，而且隨著遊戲進行也會慢慢取得更多更強的武器，但是能發揮的部份卻是只有7關的份量，顯得格外可惜 遊戲內的機體跟零件在一輪遊戲中只能獲得一小部份，剩下的必須要挑戰多週目會慢慢解鎖剩餘的零件跟機體，多週目下遊戲難度會變的更難，所以這遊戲的玩法其實是讓玩家一直挑戰同樣(只是更難)的7關，一邊慢慢解開新玩具來拉長遊戲時長，如果對一輪長度有期待的話不免會有點小失望 (2)劇情感很淡薄 雖然遊戲內容中文化了，但故事沒有太多亮點跟戲劇演出，主角小隊的人物存在感也不是太強烈 已經是SS了卻完全沒安插語音演出(哪怕關鍵幾段也好)，基本上遊戲就是淡淡的打完就收尾了 總評: 做為ACT很可以，但長度真的是硬傷，特別是零件種類豐富反而是讓這缺點顯得更明顯 操作上的流暢感跟機器的點圖都很優秀，只能說沒有呈現足夠的份量感很可惜，但遊戲本身我還是挺喜歡的 首發9折入手，雖然沒覺得吃虧不過多少還是覺得略貴了點，個人覺得7折左右的價位下手可能是不錯的選擇

Leynos 2 is...a weird game. Do I like it? Well, yeah, look at how much time I put in. But you need your mind in the right place to enjoy this and there are plenty of reasons why most won't. For one thing, it's short. Like "did I install the demo by mistake?" short. Missions are fast, intense, and you're gonna go through some trial and error until you master them all (have fun learning that escort mission). But once you get a grasp and start to enjoy the game, you suddenly just reach the end and you're left confused. Thankfully, this port has a huge improvement from the Saturn original that allows you to continue unlocking equipment on New Game plus, so no need to stress over playing perfectly on your first run. Unfortunately, most of the equipment you unlock will seem kinda weak and pointless, especially most of the new Assault Suits. You can unlock the classic Valken after making it all the way through that tough Arena mission, but you'll only really care about the unbreakable shield it comes with. After playing through the game a few times (and getting all of the achievements within a single night), I'm still happy with my purchase. Though honestly, I got this in the hope that Valken Declassified will one day get a Steam release. C'mon guys, I'll buy it. Heck, I'll buy two!

レイノス1のようにコントローラーが使えないなんて事はない ちゃんと動く、それだけで満足 原作は機体とかコンプリート済、本作はとりあえずクリアまで 元って盾ごしでもダメージ受けなかったっけ？ あと2面の足場が判定なくなって進めなくなる事があったけどそのうち治るかな？

Playing with VSYNC off and with Special K's Low Latency+Boost, and so far this si a damn good version of the game. I was worried about the input lag considering the infamy of some Saturn Tribute releases, but this one plays pretty damn responsive. The game itself is amazing, but you already know that. Bonus points for the English translation :D

Me encanta que lancen este tipo de ports pero de verdad lanzáis una versión inferior en Steam que en consola? Esta versión no está ni traducida al español como en la de consola. Es una tomadura de pelo a los usuarios de Steam? Con este tipo de prácticas se merece el voto negativo y el reembolso.

武器の射程と視界の広さが連動しており、射程の短い武器を装備すると自機のすぐそばしか表示されなくなるという謎挙動。 機体のセッティング画面は理解してもらおうという気があるのか疑問に感じるほどに分かりにくい。 その後プロジェクトEGGのSFC版ヴァルケンを遊んでみましたが、そちらの方が遥かに遊びやすく面白いと感じました。
