Asgard’s Fall is a fun survivors-like with interesting systems that set it apart from its competitors, the Web of Wryd adds an extra layer of strategy to keep things fresh. It’s got great ‘game feel’ as you tear through hordes of Norse cannon-fodder as the abilities are varied and engaging. I look forward to what the devs have in store for us in future updates.
Wirklich nett. Mal sehen, was der dritte Held dann so bringt.
This game is an inferior, Viking themed, pixel art version of Soulstone Survivors. There are no enemy collisions whatsoever; so it's all red zones and run-run dash-dash. Other than the Knot System for playtime upgrades and the boss encounters, I'm not sure there's much going on. There are only 3 characters. All the maps are featureless squares (they do have different enemies and damage patterns). The Warpaint gear system is miserable to use due to disparate interfaces for equipping and upgrading. The scaling between the maps/levels feels unnecessarily high; the 4th map feels more difficult than the first map at Blood Sacrifice level 50 (which is like +10 difficulty spikes). Is this game supposed to have music? It feels like it requires too much grind for what is offered.

A tight little bullet-heaven that's has interesting and meaningful session and persistent progression, and is put together pretty damn well. Absolutely worth the price of admission.

Could use some guidance early on as they give ya pretty much none, bad brief non tutorial especially on the "Web Of Wyrd" the most important thing early game especially, needs another round of optimisation (with a game & art style like this) this particular critique is a Very Bad Look for the game, The games tough which is okay but its grindy without the feeling of much progress/rewards, whats the payoff? I've done just under an hour & 6 or so runs & beat the first enemy with a proper boss health bar but the level continued & i died shortly after, playstyle atleast early game feels like ya pigeon-holed into a specific build and even then ya never feel anything approaching powerful its still a grind, The games definitely designed to pad out ya playtime (enough that you cannot refund on steam) 😆 not that i planned to but it was apparent to me nonetheless, only reason im under 1hr is because im heavy into other titles aswel There is a semi good game here but its probably 4-5hrs in when it starts to get really enjoyable, until then its a good time killa, won't rec as a blind buy but if you no exactly what your in for & have experience/like this kinda grind then you'll deff enjoy it,
No performance issues, but also no real joy in playing. No complexity, I just run left for a bit, then I run right for a bit, then I run left, and repeat. Standard dopamine farm of numbers go up, you can slot the warpaint to spec your build a bit more, but only 3 classes, not a huge amount of variety yet. I'll probably play a bit more when I'm waiting for something else to happen, it is only EA so fine leaving it as positive. It's just not scratching that itch for me, having completed the first 3 worlds/levels and sticking the optional difficulty sliders up to 15. That said, I also don't like brotato, which is obviously a classic to many, tastes are always subjective
