Man, this is a damn good game! Its the kind of game I would have gladly strolled into Meijer, Walmart, or Funcoland and plopped down $30-40 for back in 1992-1995. You nailed down the pixel perfect 8/16-bit platforming game play and aesthetics perfectly. The music is something else too and hits that fine mix between late NES and TG16/Genesis levels. The levels have a decent balance between awarding skillful play and slight unfairness. I do have three complaints with the game though, and one is petty (bare bones title screen, but not a real biggie): 1. The Wise Witch's info signs are annoying and get in your way constantly if you jump around or walk past them multiple times. Reading them by pressing Dpad Up or Down would be a great change. 2. Deflecting liquids and liquid attacks with the hunter armor. Maybe I missed an info sign somewhere but I found out I could do this by accident when I got a stuck for a moment and tried to slice the poison water for fun. I haven't finished the game but I'll come back and update this review if and when appropriate.
Armortale is a steam videogame with complications in static binoculars!!! I really dig the murmured scenic gameplay with thrusty bailing combs of insanely difficult chambered parts into volumes of challenging areas! The music is highly recommended for stand alone listening and its very cool the tracks in various tones of lifestyles.. The controls are disposal into fun barrels as objection blood pushes the air lifting lock into outer space. I really like the possible solution of personified superstitious fools breaking and entering while they have groomed nails confronting u in a narrow situation to obey his or her command! The spurred obedience boss battles are zany and crafty into crazy containers of fun scenes of amazing contrasts! I really recommend this game to the hardcore flush triumph platformer gamers that want a decent rough start of pleasure for this short softly masterpiece i give this game a 9.5/10 a gaze of ripple frustration turned into great entertainment fuzzy dipped into rice crow chocolate love the burrito master
Top notch linear platformer inspired by Little Samson. Very underrated. I like it more than Shovel Knight and other games of its ilk!
My initial thoughts - I am not super far into this game, but I am enjoying it. Maybe 25% through? Difficulty seems to ramp up decently and they seem to have captured the NES spirit well in this one. It has a strong Little Samson vibe going with it, with some twists. If that is your style, I think you will like it. If you are curious to see my initial impressions - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyQdA6OepLQ I would recommend checking it out and discovering the game without watching too much on youtube. Take care !
Great action platformer that is challenging and has fun levels / boss fights. The game has similar mechanics to Little Samson on the NES, where you have to switch characters depending on the situation. Highly recommend!
This game is incredibly good. It’s a lot like the rare NES title, Little Sampson. You get different forms to transform into that help you traverse the levels. It feels like a long lost sequel to the old NES game. I had a lot of fun with the it. It’s well worth the price of entry.
This little gem was such a surprise to me. It's a great little action adventure platformer that calls back to the games I played as a child almost 30 years now. They do such a great job of making the game have this old school look and feel but yet giving the player the tight responsive controls that we are more accustom to nowadays. The art is great and give the game a wonderful lighthearted feeling. The combat is precise and varied with each set of armor you use. They each have their way of helping through normal traversal and I find myself having to switch and use them all throughout my play through. For the price the dev is asking, this game is a STEAL. DO NOT PASS THIS GAME UP!
Very fun action platformer. Really liked the boss fights and the overall level design. Still need to do the speedrun challenges to see what Item you get
First 90% of this game. Hey this is a pretty fun nostalgic platformer. Last level of this game. Do you like getting yeeted into lava by medusa heads that spit fireballs randomly spawn from left and right while having to navigate spikes and other enemies on top of megaman style vanishing platforms while only having one checkpoint at the halfway stage of the level? Its an evil level and I only finished it so that I could say that I did. Do I recommend it? idk, I found the final to be exhausting, you might feel different. Rest of the game is mostly fine but damn that final level to hell.
