The "developer" filled out a basic template in the craptastic GameMaker Studio (a blight on gaming), vibe coded and slapped a bunch of disgusting AI slop assets on it, and put it on Steam as if it was their own game. This is worse than Atomic Fabrik's usual MO of stealing game assets and pretending he created them... now Russian developers are trying to scam people into paying them for AI slop. This is disgusting. Gamesforgames have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. As mentioned, this features really godawful, "wrong" looking AI slop instead of genuinely and sincerely created game assets. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating real game assets or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision. AI slop sticks out like a sore thumb... and it comes across as insulting. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too, and that's glaringly obvious here. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the GameMaker Studio construction kit/toolset. This is a very poor quality toolset favoured by amateur developers as it's cheap and requires little in the way of development skill, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities. Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. GameMaker Studio is most commonly used to make retro pixel shovelware and cash grabs. A strong argument can be made that construction kits like GameMaker Studio should never be used to make games for profit, as the "developer", Gamesforgames has done here. These construction kits are intended to teach people some of the basic principles of game development, and to make small demos to pass around with friends. They're not intended to replace to actual work of real, professional game developers. So it's inappropriate when amateurs try to use these for profit, without any actual, real game development effort taking place. This doesn't result in products that have any real meaningful value for gamers. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this blatant, unethical review manipulation. This is done to deceive and scam gamers into paying for a bad product. Due to the 2024 FTC ruling (16 CFR § 465.4, 15 U.S.C. § 45), these fake reviews are a violation of US Federal Law.[/quote] Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers. Should you buy this game? Is it among the best the Steam catalogue has to offer? Arcadox is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Ethics aside, given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. The use of AI slop is a direct insult to gamers and real, ethical content creators and artists everywhere. AI models are trained on copyrighted intellectual property without permission from the owners. Using AI slop in a published product should be seen as supporting these copyright violations.

Хороший арканоид - это редкость в наше время. Arcadox в этот процент редкости не попадает. 1. Вечно качающийся уровень... Кто-то хочет чтоб меня укачало? 2. Шарику абсолютно без разницы как ты его отбиваешь - он в 98% движется по той же траектории, почти всегда вверх-вниз, и никогда резко влево-вправо. 3. Проиграть можно, если шарик собьёт 3 сердечка внизу уровня. Исходя из полученных данных получается, что задача игрока - защищать какое-нибудь одно сердечко, а шарики там сами зарешают (ибо игрок по сути и не может на них повлиять особо). Лайк за музыку и стилизацию. Пиксельность и визуал, в целом, сомнительно. Физику не завезли. Челлендж отсутствует. Достижений нет. Хватило 5 минут, чтобы понять что тут к чему. Более тратить время не намерен. Цена по скидке - более-менее справедлива, но полагаю, что ниже её не даёт поставить платформа Steam.
