So very underrated, it is a fantastic story and choice based game that deserves way more popularity, being almost fully voice acted with amazing art and an engaging story with little to no flaws; I have already bought and WILL be playing the sequel. Please more people need to support these devs
As someone who played the second game first, I was pretty curious to see how the first game compared. I do think both games have abrupt endings, but they more than earn the emotional climaxes they set up. The worldbuilding, art, and music that I liked in the second game is just as strong here, and so are the characters. Beyond just having interesting backstories or serving as loredumps, you actually feel like you want to get to know these people. You feel bad when they do, and you're happy when they succeed. The foundations that Arcadia Fallen built were strong, and I really appreciated seeing the strengths of this game return in its sequel. I can't wait to see what the developers cook up next!
喜欢里面的一对老拉拉,虽然戏份比较少但是很美味。多谢款待
this was SO GOOD! i left it running on my PC and completed it over the course of a few days. i love visual novels with some gameplay elements. if you've tried I Was A Teenage Exocolonist or Dispatch, you'll love this. fantastic voice acting really lends to the experience. i wish the romance was explored more heavily, but the story is deep and sososo good, you can tell where the focus was and it pays off.
Genuenly one of the best games of the genre that I have played. I love the characters so much. I laughed, I cried, and I enjoyed every moment. This game really made me not regret any decision I took because they truly felt mine. I'm going to buy the second one soon, I wan't more games from this wonderful artists.
I loved this game enough that I will likely replay it at least twice more, but first I'm buying and playing Arcadia Fallen II. I'm excited to see what's next, and hope there are cameos - especially Kim and Ann, given where it's set. Thank you to the devs for the experience!
As someone who rarely plays visual novels, this was an absolute treat. The art is a standout. While simplistic in some aspects, it has a great sense of style that really carries the entire visual language of the game. There are also generally enough poses for each character, though sometimes they strike a pose that doesn't match what they say or their tone. The story was also very well done. I was not expecting much when I first started, and was continually delighted as I continued through the game. It's interesting to see the different dynamics between characters play out, see different choices you as the player make come into play, and see how it wraps up based on however you chose to play it (I found the ending I got to be quite satisfying). The RPG elements are also very well implemented. I liked the mix of personality choices, like most of the dialogue, which helps shape your character as a person, and the big choices that impact other characters, the story, etc. I found it a good mix where I felt like I could make mostly any choice in both categories without feeling like I was sabotaging either one. Romance, for me, was pretty good. I would have liked a bit more fleshing out of the system, but I found that it didn't overstay it's welcome, providing just a nice extra onto the character dynamics. While the lack of voice acting in some areas is a bit disappointing, I'm not blaming the studio for being a smaller operation. I found that the voice acting in the game was generally well done, and especially hit hard when it really needed to. I did find a few lines to be a bit awkward or underwhelming, but the overall voice work was very good. Overall, I would definitely recommend this game. Even if you haven't played a visual novel before, if you're a big RPG fan, I would for sure recommend you give it a shot.
受不了了这个Ann太可爱了可恶的hot nerd一直在勾引我!!如果有更多人物剧情就好了感觉配角塑造都不如骑士姐姐。os:好想法Ann
Really good. I enjoyed having so much control over the tone the MC takes, despite the plot being mostly on rails. Voice acting is great. Not sure it's worth full price but I got it on sale.
Replayed after playing through the 2nd game and it's still great.
