My full S Rank play through here: https://youtu.be/YXQJ0dCfOlM Game is a 7 out of 10 for me the creator definitely improved on it from naginata your sprite is still thicc compared to the enemies but I don't believe your noggin in this game has near the girth of the geisha from naginata. I like that he added an upgrade system for your weapon in this one where when you get special move bar filling items your shot upgrades and if you take damage you lose it pretty nice reward for not taking damage. Bat form is so much better than jumping as well it can be irresponsive at times for reasons I couldn't pinpoint but it's a DEFINITE imrpovement to jumping in naginata. The special move in this SUCKS terribly compared to naginata. Stage 3 is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long and one thing that would take this game a long way is instead of focusing on making the game more difficult by making stages longer and adding a greater number of enemies would be adding different mechanics for enemy attacks quality>quantity. Another change that would be super beneficial in this game but possibly a lot of work would be some kind of upgrade shop where you can unlock different attacks, special skills, etc. it would add replay value and just make the game a whole lot more entertaining. Definitely glad the creator made improvements though!

Update: So, I was able to play again, and was doing rather well now that I understand what to do and how to do it. It was nice after a certain stage that when I died I could reload and try again from the same point, and not have to completely start over. Unfortunately, the game froze again and the character stopped responding to the controls. This really needs to be fixed because the only thing to do at that point is to close down the game which just makes me not want to play again. So until this issue is fixed, I cannot change my rating. Once that issue is fixed, I will change my rating from "No, I do not recommend," to, "Yes, I recommend this game." Original Review: Apparently, I'm one of the few who can get the game to load AND play. There are NO instructions on what keys do what. There is NO way to pause the game. It takes trial and error to understand that if you fire upon boxes and break them, they may contain capsules which regenerate your health. Monsters get faster after each completed level and can come at you from behind you as well as in front of you. This is a problem because turning the character around to face them is sluggish and the monsters can "crash" into you from behind as a result, thereby lowering your health level. Further, there is no way to exit the game other than to close the window, and click on stop. Does the game have potential? Yes, definitely. Is it fun and truly playable in its current form? No, it's not. It needs a lot of work! I'd also like to know what the Stars of David are for since there are three slots at the top of the screen, and when you collect them, they fill up a slot, but it seems impossible to fill all three as after a minute or two, the slot empties again. To the developers: INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE!!! And EXPLANATIONS OF WHAT THINGS DO!!!

So this is a okay little free to play game that unfortunately doesn't quite hit the mark in a couple of places. Pros: It's Free to Play Character designs and enemy designs are nice Music is very good and is probably the best part of the game Cons: Unless the Steam page is read, there are no indications of the controls or what to do really. Whilst it's free to play, I can't see people doing a lot more than playing this a couple of times and then uninstalling. There seems to be a bug where if you restart and lower the difficulty after playing on a higher star, it then keeps the same amount of enemies meaning a full restart is required. It's too hard for how limited your options are - I was able to get to the final area twice but that was through a lot of cheesing.
