Really interesting to walk around the theatre and learn about its history. The game does a good job of making you explore every bit of it. It felt like a living wikipedia page and I hope we see more "games" like this in the future. This is such a great medium for exploring history.
It's a short game about solving a mystery in a Roman theater in Gaul. The mystery was engaging, the characters were interesting, and the architecture was nothing short of amazing! Props to the folks who made this free educational game! P.S. my only complaint is that some of the French to English wasn't translated 100% accurately, leading to some confusing phrases.

Point&Click tarzında güzel bir interaktif kurgu oyunu benim şahsen hoşuma gitti.
Some moments of my hours in Arausio were truly wonderful. It's surprisingly engaging, embroiling you in a detective story that lends well to investigating suspects and setting. The moment-to-moment experience is mostly walking and reading but it feels like more than that playing it. It also doesn't overstay its welcome, lasting no more than 2 hours (though an hour or even less isn't unreasonable). The english translation flounders here and there but is overall good. Personal Experience (why I actually recommend it, bear with me):
In Walden's first chapter Thoreau wonders "could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other's eyes for an instant?" Though he lists myth, history, and especially literature as vehicles to express the unfathomable and largely untested variety of human experience, the experience of such a miracle (even revisiting bygone settings) would itself be wondrous. Though reading, via imagination, is the freest vehicle it also readily furnishes historical misunderstandings if one doesn't already know the period well. Games like Arausio, under the auspices of a well-meaning developer like Ikigai and real-world UNESCO research, better balance or even prioritize faithfulness to a place-in-time where entertainment typically supersedes accuracy in the medium. Of course not every game needs to prioritize or elevate realism; imagination is naturally unfathomable and less constrained, but faithfulness to a period often reveals realities we wouldn't imagine: the nigh-numinous wistfulness of contracting a theater's radiating fibers, those red velarium, with our cornu's clarion call, and dilating the sky as though heaven were a pupil fixed on us. So too did admiration for the acoustic design of the theater, which resonates in all of its structural elements, leave an impression on me which no history course has: the style and ingenuity of ancient peoples is staggering.
Arausio is necessarily an imperfect portrayal of its place and its time, but Ikigai's emulation of it was sufficient enough that for a few moments playing it I felt as though I witnessed something miraculous.
Bu anlatı keşif oyununda Arausio'nun antik tiyatrosunu keşfedin ve Roma antik çağını keşfedin!
I really enjoyed it. The storyline and tasks were interesting and fun. Also lots of facts and history you can learn from which is cool.
