You know how some people say the best way to win by default is to take out the competition? Well this is how this game handles that as a mediocre artist wanting to become popular. You murder all sorts of paint blobs and artworks with artistic tools and make works of art that look like you splattered colors in an attempt to get through your art block. Its a decent rougelite shooter with a creative outlook into the art world and shows that you really need to work at something to make it somewhere, and in this case, its proving you have talent in painting, albeit in a roundabout way. The game offers a lot of variety with its choices and offers a strong challenge if you feel like it. It may have some flaws but overall, it isn't so bad to unleash your inner artist.
感觉社区不是很有活力,缺少部分引导。我觉得可以加入一些道具图鉴和锁定物品的解锁方法,像以撒的创意工坊那样。希望官方能够让社区活起来

You're far from starved for choice should you want to play a roguelite, and I usually don't. But this is one of the few exceptions. It's got an original concept that doesn't waste your time; you'll immediately know if it clicks, whether you see yourself going on another run. The controls are fluid and satisfying, with a wide variety of potential builds. Even as tons of enemies and projectiles paint the screen, I have no issue keeping track of myself. The brass band soundtrack fits the action perfectly. I do think there are too many flat-colored vector shapes in places that could look less simplistic, and the text/fonts/typography could be livelier, but the game has a remarkably fun, playful identity either way.
wacky, engaging, colourful. it gives the same feeling that littlebigplanet did waaaay back in the day. 10/10.
this is singlehandedly the most creative and underrated roguelite concept i have ever seen. bravo
The game is actully pretty creative and filled with art refrences. It's good for artists who just want to play with color pallets and for insparation. I also found out you can change the difficulty in the settings.
I mainly play roguelike games these days with the goal of getting all of the achievements before I consider myself finished with them. Checkout my profile for some similar roguelike games you may not have heard about. Antipaint stands out as one of the more unique roguelike bullet hell games in my library. Each run you select from a starting "weapon" in the form of a painting tool like brush or roller and a special perk/skillset. Once you start a run you don't change your weapon, but instead buy upgrades in the form of items which all feel unique and the synergies are very straightforward. At the start of the game it is very challenging as you learn all the ins and outs of the enemies and the bosses, but within a few hours you will likely pick up on some key items to winning each run. Attempting to get all the achievements does add a lot more replayability and challenge to the game that continue to challenge you even after you unlocked all the content in the game. Each run isn't too long, and there is a save and quit function, so at the end of the day antipaint is a welcome challenge that is also respectful of your time while not being a pushover.
Fun, fast and flashy! In true Roguelike fashion no two runs will ever quite be the same.
Super fun game, a real hidden gem. It's like if Kid Pix grew up and became a fun, challenging action rougelite. I love its sense of humor, and getting to go back and look at all the completed canvases. The whole thing is such a fun and creative idea.
Do not buy this if your computer setup costs more than a few bucks, because this pile of ♥♥♥♥ will 100% make you break something. Wether it be a keyboard, mouse or monitor. It is not fun, completely based on luck and even if you manage to beat one boss, the next level is gonna be like 500 times more enemies and no chance of winning. I've done a whole ton of runs and have not even once beaten the second boss. I was hoping that there would be an update to make the game actually fun, but no. Still the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as before. I would've gotten a refund, but the game infuriated me so much that i left my PC running while I went for a walk. I forgot to close the game. Now im stuck with this in my library and every time I see it, i get the urge to punch my monitor or someone in my vicinity. The only time this would be fun is if there was a way to enable extra money or something, so that you don't have to rely on luck to have enough money to buy what you need.
