Ankh 3: Battle of the Gods

Immernoch eines der besten Point-&-Click-Adventure die es je gegeben hat. Schade, das es Teil 2 und 3 nur auf Englisch gibt, in den Kommentaren findet man aber schnell einen Patch, mit dem die deutsche Fassung wieder hergestellt werden kann.

Pros - Decent voice acting although the accents don't really fit the epoch. - Nice graphics for the time - Humorous dialog - Show hot-spots tool (hold X on keyboard) - Supports Full-HD and WUXGA seems to v-sync OK with no tearing. - There is a basic hint system; you're controlling two characters and if you have one character talk with the other then they will sometimes provide some basic clue or instruction for what you should be doing or focusing on (or you can also press the tab key which will bring up a basic todo list.) - Subtitles can be disabled for a more immersive experience. - Plenty of points of interaction with commentary from protagonist. - Mostly playable with the mouse although you will need the keyboard to exit/save game as well as use the hot-spot reveal tool. Cons - Left mouse button is for observation and right mouse button is for action which is opposite of pretty much every other point and click adventure game. - While the voice acting is good some of the lines especially from the main character (Assil) are recorded at a really low volume. Other lines are too loud. - When there is a dialogue scene the game tries to go for a dept of field kind of a effect but it just makes everything look blurry (edit: you can disable this annoying effect by turning off "Full Screen Effects" in the settings.) - Lots of backtracking for puzzle solving and the various animated sequences are mostly un-skippable Overall its not bad, but does have a lot of annoyances. Might be worth it on sale if you like this genre.

I DONT TRAIN GAMES THAT ARE SUBSIDED AND DIFFICULT TO FIGURE OUT! The growls of this spirited crack puff of sirloin nastiness and a fighting chance to be good! It's really a letdown to alot of people,and it never gets it right! Its acclaimed to be a multiaward winning tale of heart...but never intrigues the player to finish the game,or the first chapter let alone bickerness! I was hoping for a family game that is not abandoning caretaking graphics that are huge swinging messy amps of garbage! Im sorry but this game is a nutty job of throwing it into the counterpoint trash thats it i give this game a 6.6/10 love the burrito master

I was highly amused with this game. I haven't played the other Ankh games yet so I can't compare them to the other ones but I enjoyed the comical story. There was one puzzle later on that I had a lot of issues figuring out though...but it's definitely doable. Maybe once I play the other ones I can come back to this review and do some comparisons. Out of this game and its predecessor, I'd recommend Ankh 2 on gameplay alone. The fact that Ankh 2 is cheaper means I really can't recommend this game. It's... okay. I found the puzzles in this game a bit more basic. The world also deviates hugely from what I know of Ancient Egypt, more so than the other Ankh games, and I found it quite offputting. Stick with the previous version, you'll have more fun and more change in your wallet.

Juego que más parece un DLC que una tercera parte. Es demasiado sencillo (y cuando digo demasiado, es rematadamente fácil). Entre eso y su estilo desenfadado, parece que fuera un juego casi para niños. Se supone que es el juego que cierra la saga, pero la verdad es que tampoco parece aportar tanto y algunas cosas algo metidas con calzador. Mola el tema de los diferentes dioses y seguidores, pero luego está resuelto muy mal. Escasez de escenarios, de puzzles (de nuevo, taaan sencillos, que te parecerán menos aún), incluso de personajes...Bastante decepcionante. Si tienes las dos primeras y lo pillas en oferta, pues bueno, de lo contrario, no te molestes, no te pierdes gran cosa.
