Crap game. It's unplayable. Almost nothing is explained, so passing even the first level is a chore.

Give it one or two hours to get the controlls and the time of a few enemies and it feels awesome! Maybe not as much content like BoI but for that price a "Must-Try-Out" Btw its not super permadeath, you can spawn on every level you habe reached once!
Fun short game, which takes 1-2 hours to complete. A little rough around the edges (really, only a little, and I'd say mostly the balance if off -either too easy or too hard-), quite a fun experience nonetheless. It was quite enjoyable. A few notes, maybe: - I didn't use sneaking, I wasn't entirely sure what it was meant for (tutorial shows you can use it for traps, but I failed to recognize at first glance which traps and other context the sneaking could be used for) - Trial and error is prominent, which felt old school. I like it, but I can see it not being everyone's cup of tea. - Spells and deals were interesting. So interesting that even though I was intimidated by the idea of using them at first (I wanted to focus more on hands-to-hands combat), I started using them without realizing, out of curiosity and due to some bosses being challenging enough to justify it. I wish I could re-read them after acquiring them though, but hovering over them with the mouse or something like it. - The sound design was very nice and pleasant.
And So It Was is yet another abandoned project in a long list of dead games on Steam. There is a nice game in here somewhere, with pleasant visuals and mostly developed game play, and it feels like it was almost there before the developers just gave up on it. The main problem is the clunky control scheme, which assigns both movement and attack to the right mouse button and makes it very hard to avoid taking damage. Why the left mouse button is not used at all is anyone's guess. This problem is further exacerbated by the non-existent health pool and seemingly invisible traps. Enemies cannot be killed either for some reason, only temporarily knocked out for a hot minute. Combined, these design flaws prevent any semblance of fun and make this just another generic mobile-looking rogue-like.
This game is really good, to finish a level you reall need skills to actually finish it! This is not those indie games where you ez win man this game will make you remove your hair with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wax Pretty gucci and i recommend
