As on old School Gamer i totally Love Retro Games. Simple Graphics. Simple Sounds. Simple Gameplay. Tons of Fun! Here we are. Welcome to ANCIENT OCEAN: THE FALL OF ATLANTIS! You are the Chosen One!!! No, you are not Anakin and you are not Neo! You are … ehm… a sea creature. Anyway, Atlantis is attacking the Cambrian Ocean and it is up to you make Things clear. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3458668638 ANCIENT OCEAN: THE FALL OF ATLANTIS is a wonderfull 2D Retro Plattformer. You can feel the Inspiration from Super Nintendo Graphics, like a Timewarp. You are Controlling a Seacreature. In the Beginning you can Jump and shoot slow Bubbles. Find a Way through the Levels and Encounter Boss Monster. While you progress you can upgrade your Little Hero. The farer you come, the more Upgrades you will get. And you Need them. Each Boss Monster is a Challenge but fair to master. Learn the Mechanics and strike back. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3458667684 While you explore the depths of the Ocean you will find Save Points. And here you can everytime Refill your Lifebar, if you got hurt. There is also a so called Atlantean Mode, where you can Play with an Atlantean Guard. He has a different Weapon, so the Gameplay will Change. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3458668023 To the Gameplay itself, it is fluid and nice done. Feels really like a SNES Game. If you are Looking for a nice and Little 2D Retro Plattformer with Achievements, then this is for you. Little Game, very much fun! Thanks, dear Dev for inviting me to your Ocean Journey. And thank YOU for reading. Cute ocean adventure that provided more challenge than I expected. Maybe too short as I wish there were more levels and bosses to tackle, especially with the interesting ability set of the atlantean character, but it was still a likable and fun little game.
It’s both challenging, and quite fun. As a Cambrian period lover, I adored seeing these prehistoric animals adapted into an old styled game. I love puzzle pixel games, and this just helps my love for it more. It’s very underrated and I wish it had more recognition. Absolute fun.
I defeated the Emperor of Atlantis, became the Supreme Chancellor of the Atlantean Council, and set the ocean free!
Really fun retro-style platformer! Loved the underwater theme and charming pixel art. Short & sweet adventure that’s worth the dive!
I always wanted to play as anomalocaris. Thank you for making that possible. The progression was also pretty good. I liked the platforming challenges. I do wish I could change my key binds though. Other than that, cool little game!
