Warning: Asset Flip!
Amaze Gears 3 is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Blender Games, took a template from the godawful GameMaker Studio from YoyoGames, slapped a couple of asset flipped sprites on it, and dumped the results onto Steam as a cash grab scam. Don't believe me? Here's some other asset flips from exactly the same template, all shamelessly dumped on Steam as nasty cash grabs:

"Amaze", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Amaze 2", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Amaze Christmas", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Amaze Classic", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Amaze Classic: Inverted", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Amaze Dark Times", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Amaze Frozen", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Amaze Gears", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Amaze Gears 2", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Amaze Halloween", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Amaze Lunar", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Amaze St Patrick", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Amaze Untouchable", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Amaze Valentine", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Amaze Zero", copy + pasted from the same template by Blender Games
"Maze Art: Black", copy + pasted from the same template by My Label Game Studio
"Maze Art: Blue", copy + pasted from the same template by My Label Game Studio
"Maze Art: Brown", copy + pasted from the same template by My Label Game Studio
"Maze Art: Green", copy + pasted from the same template by My Label Game Studio
"Maze Art: Orange", copy + pasted from the same template by My Label Game Studio
"Maze Art: Pink", copy + pasted from the same template by My Label Game Studio
"Maze Art: Purple", copy + pasted from the same template by My Label Game Studio
"Maze Art: Rainbow", copy + pasted from the same template by My Label Game Studio
"Maze Art: Red", copy + pasted from the same template by My Label Game Studio
"Maze Art: Yellow", copy + pasted from the same template by My Label Game Studio
Look for yourself... these are all reskins of exactly the same game! The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Amaze Gears 3" is just a basic template for making a browser/mobile tier 2D maze game, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so a copy+paste of it can't be recommended. Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips are an insult to both PC gamers and to professional game developers who create genuine, high quality PC games. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have. They make it harder for gamers to find genuine games made by honest developers. To cement the position of this asset flip as nothing but a cash grab, it was dumped onto cheap DailyIndieGame shovelware bundles very shortly after launch. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from Blender Games.

Good maze game which is not too challenging. Achievements are easy to get and the price is pleasant.
Great game! Amazing soundtracks too!
aMAZE Gears 3 is a minimalist puzzle-arcade title that doubles down on precision, repetition, and spatial awareness, offering a deliberately stripped-back experience built around navigating compact mazes filled with hazards. Developed and published by Blender Games, the third entry in the aMAZE Gears series does not attempt to reinvent its formula, instead refining a familiar structure that prioritizes clarity, focus, and steady difficulty escalation. It is a game that knows its audience well, catering to players who enjoy short, methodical challenges rather than narrative-driven or mechanically layered experiences. At its core, aMAZE Gears 3 is about movement and restraint. Players control a small gear navigating tight labyrinths, with the sole objective of reaching the exit portal hidden somewhere within each level. Controls are immediate and responsive, relying on basic directional input, but the simplicity of movement is offset by the unforgiving nature of the environments. Hazards such as spikes, moving obstacles, narrow corridors, and timing-based traps ensure that even a small misstep sends the player back to the start. This instant failure-and-retry loop forms the backbone of the game’s rhythm, encouraging patience and precision over experimentation. Level design is the primary driver of challenge, and it evolves gradually across roughly fifty stages. Early mazes serve as gentle introductions, allowing players to understand the pace of movement and how hazards behave. As progress continues, layouts become more complex, demanding careful path planning and an understanding of timing rather than quick reflexes alone. Some levels emphasize speed, pushing players to commit to movement without hesitation, while others reward slow, deliberate navigation. This variation helps prevent the experience from feeling monotonous, even though the core mechanics remain unchanged throughout. Visually, aMAZE Gears 3 adopts an abstract and colorful aesthetic that prioritizes readability. Walls, traps, and paths are clearly defined, ensuring that players can instantly understand the structure of each maze. The gear itself stands out against the environment, making it easy to track during movement-heavy sections. While the presentation is undeniably simple and lacks visual flair, this restraint works in the game’s favor by keeping attention firmly on problem-solving rather than decoration. The clean visual language supports the game’s puzzle focus and makes extended play sessions comfortable. Sound design follows a similarly understated approach. Background music is calm and unobtrusive, designed to support concentration rather than heighten tension. Audio cues for movement and failure are subtle but effective, reinforcing player actions without becoming distracting. The overall atmosphere is quiet and mechanical, reinforcing the abstract nature of the experience rather than attempting to evoke emotion or narrative context. Replayability comes primarily from achievements and personal mastery rather than content variety. The game encourages players to refine their execution, aiming for cleaner runs and fewer mistakes. While there are no alternate modes, procedural elements, or mechanical twists introduced later in the game, the satisfaction comes from overcoming increasingly demanding layouts through repetition and improved spatial understanding. For some players, this focus on refinement will be rewarding; for others, the lack of expanding mechanics may feel limiting once the final levels are complete. The game’s modest scope is both its strength and its weakness. aMAZE Gears 3 is easy to pick up, quick to understand, and well-suited for short play sessions, making it ideal as a low-commitment puzzle experience. At the same time, players seeking depth, variety, or narrative engagement may find the experience too barebones. There is little here beyond the mazes themselves, and the game makes no attempt to contextualize its challenges within a larger framework. Overall, aMAZE Gears 3 succeeds by staying focused on its core idea and executing it cleanly. It delivers a concise, methodical maze experience that rewards patience, planning, and precision without unnecessary complexity. While it may not stand out as a landmark puzzle game, it fulfills its purpose as a straightforward, accessible challenge that appeals to fans of classic maze design and minimalist arcade gameplay. Amaze Gears 3 Once Again, much like its predecessor, I have similar grievances with this game. However, I must acknowledge the introduction of a new obstacle, which deserves credit. This puzzle game offers a highly challenging experience, with a concept that is both unique and enjoyable compared to many other puzzle games. The inclusion of double achievements still bothers me, and I would only consider purchasing it if it were on sale. Nevertheless, it is still a decent game overall. The most difficult obstacles in the game are undoubtedly the ones that require navigating through spikes that move in and out. The soundtrack is also satisfactory. It took me approximately 120 minutes to fully complete the game.
