For a 12 year old random indie game I had in my library I actually enjoyed it and had a good time with the game.

Always Sometimes Monsters really stuck with me. It’s a narrative-driven game where you mostly walk, make choices, talk to people, and try to deal with life falling apart around you. There’s no heroism here — just messy situations, bad decisions, money problems, relationships, and consequences that feel uncomfortably human. I loved how honest and grounded it is. Your choices matter, but not in a glamorous way — they matter in small, sometimes painful ways that feel real. It’s funny, sad, awkward, and heartfelt all at once, and it doesn’t shy away from showing how hard life can be. A very human story, and one I’m glad I experienced. Thanks Vagabond Dog! :)
I played this game 11 years ago. I still remember it to this day. Just looking at my achievements was enough to jog my memory about how damn depressing this game was and how much anyone who is hung up on an old flame needs to play it. This was indie art before indie art became a thing.
Not very good, reads like a first draft. Why did I buy this in 2014?
Bittersweet story with no *feel-good* ending, really. Dialogues are well-written but the story feels a little...hollow? Still, was able to get through the full game so definitely recommend playing once. Brief gist (without spoilers) of the story is that you play as a character who gets shafted in terms of career, love, and friendships - so you go on a journey to get closure of sorts. My only gripe is that the characters seem to get closure but the player-closure is lacking
选择很多但其实对结局影响多的不多,剧情自由性上还行,7。
I really wanted to like this game, but it waaaaay too slow and granular in its RPG elements.
Great game but the boxing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SUCKS. ComE ONNNN there are so many fights i've lost because the hits just DON"T CONNECT even when they should. highly recommend for anyone with the patience to wait a minute in between reloads. FOR REFERENCE: PLAY TIME 10 HOURS. TIME IN MY SAVE FILE: 5 HOURS. Editing to no longer recommend the game because I just lost another match where my punches didn't connect. Just trying to earn enough money for the best ending. This sucks. EDITING AGAIN TO SAY THAT I JUST TIED IN BLACKJACK, AND LOST MY BET. NOT HOW BLACKJACK WORKS.
