Altstadt is a relaxing building toy about shaping a colorful miniature German old town. Place houses and streets on a compact board and watch a small settlement grow into a detailed diorama. There are no resources, budgets, or populations to manage. Just build, experiment, and refine.
BUILD HOUSE BY HOUSE
Start with individual houses. Make them taller or lower them again, or expand them into larger connected buildings. Lay streets to form paved squares and intimate courtyards. Entrances, shared walls, and rooflines adapt to the town you build, and eligible lanes can even become covered Schwibbogen passages.
MAKE IT YOURS
Choose coordinated facade and roof colors for each complete building. Renovate a house to try another compatible architectural design without rebuilding the layout you like. Undo and redo let you experiment freely until every corner feels right.
BUILD WITHOUT PRESSURE
There is no money, score, timer, objective, or failure state. Chimney smoke, shutters, laundry, greenery, and small movements give your finished streets an inhabited feeling without turning the town into a management simulation. Keep refining one composition or clear the board and begin again.
