Sometimes the most popular Storys never grow old. The Story of a Mermaid who is searching for her past and finding her Love in the World of Humans. Sounds familar, eh? Right. That was also the Story of ALLURA: CURSE OF THE MERMAID, a wonderfull Match 3 Game. Now Allura is back. So welcome to ALLURA: THE THREE REALMS. Allura and her beloved Glenn are going to marry, but Alluras Daddy, looks like Neptun, forbid it, because it could unstable the Realms Order. Somehow trouble between Earth, Ocean and Heaven. So Allura and Glenn decided to proove that there can be peace, no matter who is marrying who. Love is stronger then every obstacle. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2521349853 So much for the Story. ALLURA is a classic MATCH 3 Game. Make Rows of 3 or more same Squares and solve all Levels. Follow the Story, that is guide by some nice Scenes and help Allura and Glenn. Like in other MATCH 3 Games you do not follow a place by place Path, no, you play different Levels with side Quests that gave you different currencys. These currencys are needed to unlock the Story Chapter after Chapter and to buy usefull Extras that help you cleaning that areas. You can also buy nice Clothes, but that has no effect on the Game, just cosmetics. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2521350696 2 Things i really like. First, you have all the Time you need. No Time Pressure. Second, the Game goes directly into challenging but never hard Match 3 Areas. No long Tutorial, just some Quick Advices and then you can instantly go into play. The Graphics are really nice and i also like the Story. That goes also for the Music, which i really enjoyed and which never was getting annoying after a while, like in other Games. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2521351265 Like ARTIFEX MUNDI is known for his great HOG Games, EFUNSOFT GAMES is know for his great MATCH 3 Games. And all to really low prices for maximum Fun. A big thanks to the Developers to get me into their Gaming World, that i really enjoyed. Maybe you should install Achievements to raise the Fun to a new Level. If you like Chilling Match 3 Games without Time Pressure and a nice Story then this is for you. Thank YOU for Reading. Match 3 game, arcade style, very well done, with beautiful graphics, cartoon style, full of details and pleasant colors, with many locations to see: the castle, the village and under the sea. PLAYABILITY Very easy to play use only the mouse, and click to match the various objects, in this way you will free the tiles and the rings. As you progress through the game you will accumulate points and stars, tiles and gems that you can use to restore the various locations, there are many tools that you can redeem, scepters, weapons and bombs to unlock linked tiles. The best thing is that with the gems you can get wonderful dresses for the princess, and all this without using any money, but only by playing. There are different types of board to play on, they are all different, precisely because the objects are different, there are shells, fish, stars, anchors, and plants. PLOT The protagonists are Princess Allura and Glenn, unfortunately due to wars and conflicts that have lasted for years they discover that the castle and their lands are ruined and devastated. Only by playing can we help Allura and Glenn rebuild and restructure everything, and help them in their very noble end goal: which is to restore peace between the various kingdoms of both land and sea. CONCLUSION Very pleasant to play, relaxing and fun, there is nothing repetitive and boring, it gives satisfaction to see the various locations return to the splendor of the past. It's one of those games that you say: "A little more and I disconnect" but you can't stop time goes by without realizing !!! I also recommend it for children to play, especially female is very suitable.
Allura: The Three Realms
Match 3 Gameplay
Fazit:
Allura: The Three Realms is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam by serial offenders, HH-Games. This is a basic match-3 puzzle game, the kind you can play for free or on mobile. Quality is mediocre, resolution is locked and like most mobile trash, there's no graphics tweaks or anything, so you have to put up with the mobile app as it is. While this has been removed from most app stores, nothing changes the fact that this is the kind of mobile app that's usually given away for free, so it's unacceptable for HH-Games to once more try scamming PC gamers out of $6. $6, and you can pretend your gaming rig is an iPhone. Yeah.
Overview:
'Allura: The Three Realms' is your typical match-3 puzzle game where the goal is to save your kingdom and restore balance and peace to all the other realms from total war and destruction by using your amazing match-3 skills. You play as a couple consisting of a human and a mermaid from different realms trying to get married but are stopped when they are informed that marrying another individual from another realm would cause a imbalance between all the realms and that they can't proceed with the marriage. The lands themselves are in shambles due to each of them missing a crucial component known as an "elemental" that holds the entirety of their realm together. Each realm has stolen each others elemental for some reason creating imbalance and disruption across them all preventing peace, balance and the wedding the main characters want so badly. It's somewhat of a drawn out story but it's enough to keep the player engaged (that is if you're into stories like this) although the gameplay is much of the same all throughout.
Gameplay:
Like many other match-3 games, 'Allura: The Three Realms' follows the format of switching adjacent pieces on a board to align 3 or more of the same sprite to fulfil the criteria needed to complete the level. Upon completion, the player is rewarded with items that they acquire in game to purchase items along with stars that are needed to progress the story. There also isn't a time limit and there aren't limited moves either so you can take your time beating a level without the anxiety of running out of time or moves which is great. Along the way the game introduces hazards that make the level harder whether it be adding vines that require multiple matches to break, golden tiles that can only be broken when you create a match beside it or a solid concrete tile that cannot be broken no matter what. As mentioned before, there are power ups that can be purchased with items obtained through completed levels and these power ups destroy or alter the tiles on the board in some way to aid the player. These items can only be used when you fill up a special meter enough to activate them and each item requires a specific amount. Filling the meter is easy and is done by just playing the game and matching to your hearts content. There are plenty of different items to use but only 3 can be equipped at a time. The good news is that you can swap between items mid-game so the variety is always there. The story also does not progress until you spend stars to progress it so realistically you could just continue playing the game to grind for items until you can purchase everything in the game.
Controls:
There really isn't much to say here because all you really do is swap two sprites and match 3 of them. The power ups do their own thing and swapping between them can be confusing sometimes but the game does a good job explaining how it works. Overall the UI and controls are perfectly fine and I didn't run into any game-based problems that need to be pointed out.
Graphics:
As colourful and kid-friendly as your typical match-3 game for the home audience. The sprites are fine and the effects are also quite satisfying to watch. The artwork for the story although appears to be from the early 2000's is still very well done.
Audio:
Music is very nice but can get a bit repetitive and sound effects are nice and crisp. Some of the sounds such as the tile breaks and vine cuts are my personal favourites and I always find it so satisfying to hear those sounds for some reason. There's also surprisingly voice acting in the game albeit just for narration. At first I thought the narrator's voice was pretty good until I listened to it more and started to realize that there's a small robotic tone in it. Very nitpicky of me but it threw me off a bit. Nonetheless, the audio is a fairly good for what the game is.
Conclusion/TL;DR:
'Allura: The Three Realms' is a match-3 game with unlimited time and moves along with items that can help the player along their journey making it a very family friendly game. With relatively nice visuals along with audio with much of the same quality, 'Allura: The Three Realms' is a nice little match-3 puzzle game with quite a few things to unlock as well as a nice story with a nice lesson. Very easy to play and I would say its worth the asking price (especially if you have kids!).
