#06 Game in my Pile-of-Shame Challenge! I did enjoy the game and love that you can change the background to a darker one to suit your eyes and find bright colored pieces better. YET, as an achievement hunter and a person that would have liked to play the game in all it's difficulties, it was quiet boring after a while to play the same 6 pictures all over again and again... So i decided against the 100% in this game. Either way, it took me around 7h to complete each picture in the midrange size, so 4€ is a really nice price value. I don't reget getting the whole bundle back then.
A lovely classic puzzle game. * 12 puzzles * Options for 60, 135, 240, 375, 735 pieces. * Quotes from the book after completing each puzzle. * You can also write your quote and save the image. Relaxing and beautiful little game! Family friendly.
Alice in Wonderland - It's a jigsaw game about Alice in Wonderland. That's it. That's all she wrote. The art style is cute and the music is relaxing and you're building puzzles. Not much else to say here.
fine would be much better and less boring if it was not the same twelve pictures all five different times
I love this game, its so relaxing and cute. Only 12 puzzles and you repeat them in different sizes but still relaxing if you like puzzles
Warning: Asset Flip!
Alice in Wonderland is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", Mens Sana Interactive, took the Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit Unity Store tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, Allebi, changed the name, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. Now, of course we know store assets are intended to allow developers to learn how certain games are made, and to be used as placeholders until developers can replace the work of others with their own... but that's not what's happened here. Absolutely nowhere has the "developer" acknowledged they took the work of Allebi... instead, they're claiming the work of Allebi is their own. This isn't illegal, necessarily, but plagiarism is horribly unethical. It gets worse... "Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit" has been shamelessly dumped on Steam by Mens Sana Interactive before:

"Lucky and a Life Worth Living", asset flipped by Mens Sana Interactive
"My Little Prince - a jigsaw puzzle tale", asset flipped by Mens Sana Interactive
Take a look for yourself... these are all reskins of exactly the same game! The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "Jigsaw Puzzle Creator Kit" is just an asset pack for doing a simple jigsaw game, combined with art assets ripped off from stock images/the internet, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so a copy+paste of it can't be recommended. Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have, and make it harder for gamers to find real games from genuine developers.
Warning: Review Manipulation!
This game features a number of fake positive reviews from accounts known to be in the business of review manipulation/paid reviews. They're all written in broken English, appear precisely within 24 hours of the launch on Steam, all have a direct Steam purchase of the game, and of course there's the nice round number, 10 of them, all at the same time. The "Positive" review score on this game should be disregarded due to this review manipulation. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from Mens Sana Interactive.
Relaxing, with cute cartoon images. I enjoyed playing this while listening to podcasts. It took me about 30 hours to complete every puzzle in every size. There are 12 puzzle images, available in 5 different sizes (60 piece, 135 piece, 240 piece, 375 piece, 735 piece). Features: - The game automatically saves your progress when you quit. - Ability to toggle "contrast mode" (make the background lighter or darker). - Ability to zoom in. - Ability to move around the screen. - Option to highlight certain puzzle pieces to make them easier to spot. You can highlight all edge pieces, or all pieces from each quadrant of the puzzle. This makes the game much easier for those who struggle with large puzzles. - Ability to shuffle all unplaced puzzle pieces. - Ability to preview image at any time during the puzzle (preview image appears as a transparent overlay, allowing you to see which pieces you've already placed). - There is audio and visual confirmation that you have placed a puzzle piece in the correct spot. (A tinkling sound plays, and small animated hearts appear above the piece.) - The music volume and the sound effect volume are controlled separately (so you can mute the music but still hear the tinkling audio confirmation of having placed a correct piece). - You cannot take a puzzle piece out once it is in it's correct spot. - Puzzle pieces clip together automatically when they are placed next to a correct piece. (Note: This is glitched, and some pieces will not clip together even if they are correct. But once they have been placed correctly on the board they will work properly.) Negative: - You must drag puzzle pieces, which may be problematic for people with certain conditions.
Adorable art and story. I like that it gives you the choice of how easy or difficult you'd like the puzzles to be.
