UPDATE: Changing from thumbs down to thumbs up. The fast update tweaked the stamina mechanic and now the game is a true platformer with unlimited jumping ability. But most of the design choices are still questionable. The concept and art are fine, but the game's mechanics and other design decisions prevent it from being enjoyable to play. The protagonist of the tale is a mixed-race fox who aspires to be something other than an alcoholic slacker. Let's just say that the story is quite basic and that your overall goal is to change your destiny. The game plays like any other action/platformer. You can jump, scale walls, and attack. You immediately realize that the stamina system is involved in all actions, which is fine when done correctly and just for certain acts. However, in this game it’s highly aggravating because jumping also depletes your stamina. Platformers require a lot of jumping, thus you'll spend most of your time waiting for it to fully recharge before making a jump. Then wait once again on the following platform. And again. The same goes for combat. Each battle becomes a chore due to the very slow recharge. You're moving around wasting a lot of your stamina trying to gather enough for just one hit. When you have enough experience points, you can increase your stats, but you must first kill enemies who use a totally absurd mechanic. Enemies are brainless. They will follow you anywhere you go if you are in their line of sight, including across ledges, into pits, under spikes, etc. It is usually simpler to lure them into traps, which kill them and leave their corpse hovering in the air. The game goes with old-school style of progress, which means linear path and no option to revisit stages. Even if stages include numerous paths and secret spots with gold and treasure, it's difficult to collect everything because it's so easy to die. Furthermore, if you just head for the exit, you can make things much tougher for yourself because each coin and experience point is valuable. The overall difficulty of the game was the final straw that broke my back. There are traps everywhere, coming out of nowhere and taking cheap shots at you. Even if you survive falling into a hole, you most likely won't have the strength to climb out. What makes this even more annoying is the lack of checkpoints. If you die, everything you collect is lost and entire progress reset. Any kind of exploration is entirely discouraged because you don’t want to spend time by carefully navigating the stage, collecting everything you can and then get killed by a stray arrow. The forced wagon stages are a disaster. The mechanics are similar to old games with a motorbike and hills you had to climb using only up and down. Doing somersaults with a steam-powered wagon look fun, but the experience falls apart right away. Fuel is constantly running out, the stages are long and filled with obstacles, it's impossible to flip the wagon back on wheels if you flip it, and there are no checkpoints. There's not even a restart button, so you need to wait for the fuel to run out every time you get stuck. Overall, if you enjoy custom-made games, you'll find some satisfaction here. But it also comes with a lot of broken features, such as the death counter that keeps increasing the number as your corpse is stuck in lava and loads of untranslated text for your abusing rabbit friend.
It's fun! Adventures with an alcoholic fox. There are many stages, and various iron and creatures threaten the fox's life.
Fun game! Gloomy humorous platformer, the game design is cool. Colors, sounds, tricky traps. A lot of fun! I advise you to try it!!!
hey there, just dropping by and letting y'all know that I've been playing this fantastic 2D platformer and I'm absolutely loving it! the irony and dark comedy vibes really make it stand out from any other game about finding purpose. I mean, who wouldn't love an alcoholic squirrel-fox trying to find the best life while mocking the consumer society? it's genius really! I've played several levels already, and at first, it seems pretty easy, but then BAM! I'm stuck, crashed, or falling off a cliff. it's classic pissing off, but in a good way that keeps me coming back for more. the music is spot on and adds to the overall vibe of the game. I also love the mechanics, and game style, especially the use of a bottle as stamina. the creatures and backgrounds are beautifully made and remind me of many stylistic-like stuff from Poe's tales or even Lovecraft. soooo cool authentic atmosphere, dynamics, and unique illustration style really drew me in. I also noticed several catchy references, such as Alien's bones, e.g. gonna play more and highly recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun and unique platformer. great work!

Отвратительный платформер.
Rating: Dito: 3.3/5 Chat: 3.55/5 Gesamt: 3.43/5
