Building your own ships and vehicles is fun
sure, the menu is a bit clunky, and it takes a while to get used to how the game works, but once you get it, this game is absolutely awesome! you're basically gunning it alone, with friends, with strangers, completely privately or on a public server, completely up to you! any play mode is possible! you fly around, complete various quests, get the hang of it, gather ressources, improve your ship, and then eventually conquer territory if you want. there's quite a bit to do, and it's never dull! what really impresses me the most is that the ship editor has built-in multiplayer! you can invite your friends to work on designs with you, something that stormworks has struggled achieving for ages! the ships are physics powered, sway from all sorts of effects, wind is an issue (or not if you decide to build a land vehichle or submarine). i mean, the game is called "airmen", but you're not limited to air! you can even build a fully functional and viable sailboat, a frigate, a galleon, a nuclear sub if you feel like it! not to mention the ability to simply build tanks :D there are also economic missions if you don't feel like blowing things up, or you can just mine random ressources in the world to use for your own ship. the only reason not many people play this game is literally because not many people know about it. if this game had more exposure, and the menus were cleaned up a little, then it would be a hit!
Игра хорошая, но нет перевода на другие языки из за чего сложно играть без знания дефолтного языка.
5 behemoth flak guns go boom.
Really small community, but extremely welcoming and helpful. The game mechanics of extracting are amazing as well, letting you design and build a ship in a comprehensive (bit of a learning curve) builder and then use it on any server by just paying the material cost for it. The general building is rather restrictive, though, and that may be a result of the developer's neglect. Bronze Johnson, the solo developer of Airmen, has abandoned the game to work on another game. Before abandoning us, he pushed multiple updates that were unfinished and made the game generally less fun. The game could be made open-source or given to another dev, but it's not. This has amazing potential to be a great game, but it was abandoned before it truly became what it could have been. However, still a great purchase for $5 when its on sale, and still fully playable as the servers are still maintained.
Players are more interesting than game itself
A really amazing game that could've competed with and beat sea of thieves if it only had more polish.
