Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Sep 13 → 1.2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
TAKE COMMAND OF THE NATION'S AIR DEFENSE
The sky is your battlefield. A hostile contact appears on radar. Is it a civilian airliner off course, or the prelude to a full-scale attack? Your job is to find out.
Air Defender is a high-stakes, real-time strategy simulation that puts you in the command chair of a national Air Defence network. From a top-down strategic view, you are the unseen hand responsible for detecting, identifying, and intercepting airborne threats. This is not a dogfighting game; you are not a pilot. You are the commander with access to the capabilities of multiple roles in the bunker, and the fate of the nation rests on your split-second decisions.
Analyse radar returns, scramble your Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) fighters, and manage your assets to protect your airspace. Every choice matters, and the consequences of failure are devastating.
High-Fidelity Command & Control: Take on the role of an Air Defense Commander. Manage a detailed radar network, interpret IFF (Identification Friend or Foe) data, and issue commands to your forces.
Scramble QRA Interceptors: Launch your fighter aircraft to investigate, shadow, or engage hostile contacts. Manage their fuel, weapons, and mission objectives in real-time.
Deep Information Warfare: Utilise authentic-inspired systems to build a complete picture of the battlespace. Monitor flight plans, analyse electronic warfare (EW) intelligence, and stay one step ahead of the enemy.
Intelligent Enemy AI: Face a dynamic adversary that will probe your defenses, launch coordinated attacks, and adapt to your strategy, creating a challenging and replayable experience.
Play Endless or complete Training Missions to become Combat Ready. In Endless, you will be challenged to spot the bad guys, ensure they don't sneak through, if you do, it could lead to all out war.
Welcome to the command center. The watch is yours.

this game has a cool premise, but in its current state it derives most of its difficulty from making scoring be based on following a procedure rather than the actual results you are getting. when you find that out the only reason you can score low is that you do not follow procedure to the letter which means 4 or 5 clicks per plane, and there are often 200 planes in the air. There are essentially two things going wrong. One is that you essentially have infinite resources. You start out with basically every aircraft in the UK ready to go within minutes. In reality you would have like 4 and would need to call up squadrons to bring people in and get more aircraft ready. So the actual difficulty of this job in the real world is removed or at best arrives after many hours of play where you have spent the entire Airforce and finally know what that was. So it needs an intel layer up front so the player actually has to make a plan about how to use his aircraft and some sort of limitation in the beginning so the game doesn't start out telling you its peacetime when the RAF are on more than full readiness for war.
This is a great concept and a promising early access title, though I'd recommend it cautiously at the moment since it does need a lot of work. I think it's great that it exists and I think there are some very good ideas there, and for those with specific interest in this subject I think it's already worth a look. On the positive side: the presentation is really good and immersive, with the recorded voices particularly worthy of praise. It's definitely a slow-paced, thoughtful game even as events get frenetic, and I thought especially the peace-time phase of play is actually done very well. Sorting out dozens of radar tracks and finding ones that are suspicious or hostile is interesting and actually pretty engaging - I kind of wish I could have kept it going for longer. And once things go from peace to war - the pacing is also generally quite good, with the game always reminding the player not to get over-focused on just one event and miss things going on elsewhere. It's a good teaching aid and snapshot of military tech from a particular era (90s), skewing more towards realism than pure entertainment. On the negative side, other than things that simply have not been worked on or fleshed out - my main complaints are mostly about user-friendliness and the constant need to "babysit" your AI-controlled aircraft. This is not as much of a problem in the peacetime phase of play, but once war breaks out and you have to manage complex intercepts with multiple units, it becomes a case of chasing your own fighter aircraft and micromanaging them. Fighters assigned to intercept an enemy aircraft will turn away after it's shot down, even if there are several other enemies that were right near it and easily visible - so you have to manually keep getting them to re-engage. After refueling, fighters will automatically RTB instead of returning to a CAP station or intercept - so again, you have to keep chasing them down and reassigning them by hand. This might be a little less frustrating if the interaction was more drag-and-drop, or if some kind of standing orders or ROE could be set for these units to default to once they finish their current order - but unfortunately, doing these things requires a lot of extra clicks, regularly scrolling through text-heavy windows and panning around on the map just to catch what's happening. Once you have a couple dozen fighters plus support aircraft in the air, just keeping them in the air and on task starts becoming a chore of endless clicking. That said, I do some smart design decisions here already, and my hope is that as Air Defender proceeds through early access, it will become more user-friendly and better focused on situational awareness and smart command decisions rather than clicky busywork. More variety in scenarios and situations would also go a long way!

amazing game as an raf cadet this is very usefull for training its so in detalied and fun :3
Incredible atmosphere, cool gameplay – watching green dots avoid red Ms gets you on the edge of your seat like you wouldn't believe. Peacetime work of investigating new (hopefully civilian) contacts is no joke either. All the voicework especially is so well done, radarlike game screen also is quite nice and easy on the eyes. Whilst I generally enjoy AD for what is right now, here's a few thoughts on what could be improved: * Some UI elements & labels could use some polishing up for extra clarity (e.g. track labels, action buttons) * Some functions could be made more clearly defined. Whilst I get the general idea of what EWAR is supposed to do, I can't say that I fully understand how to use it with max efficieny in the game. Supply system in particular seems like a mess right now. * Peace-time work could be made a bit more engaging, add extra voice lines or whatever atleast. Very much worth the money. While there's already good content here, future seems quite bright for this lil game.

For an early access game - the gameplay loop is there and I've found it great for a bit of casual RP style gameplay. When multiplayer comes along with division of work and a higher work rate - man that'll be fire, but until then it's pretty basic. You're going to be someone who likes the idea of VATSIM, etc to want to continue to play this. That said - if you enjoy that sort of thing as I do, you'll probably like this. As I said - it's early access, there are signs of promising things to come but right now its basic game about catching spotting the bad guy and managing aircraft.
There's Early Access, and then there's "can't complete the third tutorial (Needle in a Haystack) because the game thinks 740kt is equal to 450kt and the interception never happens". The concept is neat, and I wish I could actually play it, but this game seems to need a little more time in the oven.
It is a great game, but there does need to be some variety in game modes, as it can get repetitive. However, this game has lots of potential.

8/10 this game is simple in its design but it can offer seriously epic gameplay once you master it. the game literally starts up in seconds and you can be defending ours skies in under a minute. ++++++++++++++++++++GAMEPLAY+++++++++++++++++++ initially when it came out this game did have a few bugs, aircraft wouldn't intercept or enemy aircraft would randomly be come OP etc, its got a solid team (Ak Ak) behind it. and the discord is alive with helpful suggestions and effective troubleshoot team. gameplay is in it self easy with the speed tools, and if you take the time to master the game, the time spent on stint can be long but eventful. don't get me wrong after a while all you can see is green and the constant droll of the machinery in game "suggests a cool breeze". mostly either it kicks off pretty easy or it takes a while to build up, if you want it right then and here they've added an "instant action" mode. +++++++++++++IMPROVEMENT++++++++++++++++++ there's still a few bugs nothing major and a lot of it is just that every so often, a intercept won't intercept or a random tu-122 will slip in and you need to be bear F**king grills to find the F**ker but these are few and far between. apart from that most full missions/stints last about 1-1.5hours of gameplay, ++++++++++++IMPROVMENTS+++++++++++++++++ when you make a bobo of it there's this really annoying SOUTHERN English accent that tells you you've made a bobo, I f**KING HATE YOU YA AR**HOLE!!! going forward i'd like to see maybe expansions of either modern or older types, like using limited radars, spitfires etc etc or for the modern aspect F35s/typhoon. i think as well maybe having the yank bases operating independently would add an extra level of F**kery to the mix or even access to their aircraft unless the in-game orange taco man has his way. TLDR its a great game, its got bugs but its got a solid team behind it and the discord is phenomenal.
