Engage in pulse-pounding shootouts against cutting-edge enemy AI straight out of the futuristic realm of 1997.
Embark on 14 daring missions as Secret Agent John Walter, an elite operative tasked with saving the world from his arch-nemesis, Dominic Pulp. Protect the future against the phantoms of the past.

Each story mission is a self-contained environment where you have to accomplish varied objectives, such as hacking terminals, stealing secret plans, freeing civilian hostages, and much more… all while fighting armed guards in epic shootouts, of course.
3 Difficulty Levels
Every mission can be completed in 3 distinct difficulty modes (Agent, Special Agent, and 64 Agent). With higher difficulty comes more objectives, and more open areas to discover.
(Tip: Start with Agent to familiarize yourself with the missions, then ramp up the difficulty to discover what comes next.)
By beating par times and other trials, you can unlock Paradox Modes, which contain 70+ modifiers and cheats that enable various effects on regular gameplay, including:
Big Heads
Melee Disarms
Slow Bullet Speeds
No Reload
…and many more!
Ready for an unorthodox challenge? Complete Contracts: remixed missions with different objectives and Paradox mode pre-sets for additional Paradox unlocks.
Fight against friends in local split-screen multiplayer combat, or take the gunfight online with up to 8 players and 8 additional bots.
Enjoy full lobby customization including teams, weapon set, rule sets and paradox modifiers, with up to 10 saved pre-sets to your liking.
Deathmatch: Classic deathmatch, score the more frags to win!
Briefcase: Capture the briefcase and hold it for long enough to score a point. But don't get too comfortable, after each point won, the briefcase position is reset to a random point on the map.
Zone: You have to capture the zone on the map to score points. Don't let any enemy contest it as it will stall the countdown!
Challenges: special matches against pre-set bots where players must reach a precise score under a certain amount of time. The faster you win, the better the prizes. Unlock maps, characters, music tracks, and more!

very fun, it can be hard to advance to the next levels as you need credits to advance. you should be able to play through without those credits, i dont want to spend a bunch of time trying to master the levels on hard just to advance, i just want to play on easy, some levels are hard enough on easy let alone mastering them on 00 agent hard mode :/
Agent 64: Spies Never Die but only if their name is James. If your name is Joanna, then you're out of luck... The good: - GoldenEye like - added bots/challenge (hello perfect dark) - good eapon selection - all the gimmick of this era (opponent that do a whole buch of stuff sometime before aiming, explosives folder, big red barrel,...) - mission with obj depending for difficulty - better gun feeling (even better than perfect dark) - fun to shoot - modern controls - online multiplayer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - SPLIT SCREEN OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Lots of modifications to multiplayer for even moar fun The bad: - Bought the game to play online with my buds but then won't buy due to kernel anticheat. - story is so-so, GoldenEye was a James bond movie and perfect dark was more interesting. - lost of most huge updates from Rare perfect dark: - no double gun if you pick 2. - no double usage for weapons - wayyyyy less weapons - no dialogues -> you don't deserve it xD - briefing is poor (at best) - cut scene are so-so - narration is poor - levels less objectives dependant I would still recommend, bring memories back BUT if you know goldenEye 2.0 (aka Perfect Dark) this will probably make you go back to perfect dark 64 port

It's a new GoldenEye / Perfect Dark for the nostalgia fans out there. It's SO GOOD. Nails the vibe!
Fun game when you rely on the autoaim and hip fire. Only frustration is trying to use precision aiming.
The perfect dark shooter with a golden eye for detail.
It's 2 AM, there's pizza boxes with just a couple slices left in them chilling on the coffee table next to some now-warm coke. The sound of three to four controllers clacking are interspersed with low-tech digital gunshots, curses and accusations of screen-peeking. It's 1998, and you're playing Goldeneye right? Wrong, it's 2026 and you're playing Agent 64! How like is a scene like this actually going to play out? Not very, considering the ease of playing online, but I am going to do my best to attempt it some time before this summer is over. Agent 64 is the obligatory indie reimagining of an old favourite which had long had been considered obsolete in terms of gameplay. Although its DNA is undoubtedly within many modern console shooters, not many deliberately hearken back to the glory of Goldeneye, and none so masterfully as this one. The most important aspect that Agent 64 knocks out of the park is the feel, which is essentially exactly how one would expect Goldeneye to play if it had the benefit of another decade or so of control refinement. It's smooth dual-stick (or KBM, but I've not really been playing with that) controls without adding anything unnecessary. It retains the classic "loose" crosshairless aiming that the developers of Goldeneye kept in their games up until Timesplitters: Future Perfect, wherein the camera doesn't follow the gun immediately, taking a moment to catch up with it. Of course the "zoom/aim" function which was the precursor to "ADS" in modern FPS is present. It's all very reminiscent of the XBLA port of Perfect Dark, which until now had been the peak of this "style" of FPS. One slight critique I had early on, especially of the first couple levels, is that something about them feels off. It's like they don't inhabit a real space, but rather just appear to be video game levels emulating how a GE or PD level "should" be. Whereas those games felt like they were trying to simulate being an agent in realistic locations. This problem exists to varying degree throughout the campaign, but levels like Castle and Mountain are counterexamples to this point. The campaign itself is pretty nice, although some text before missions which gives us more lore would be very welcome. There's a few grammar issues here and there, but nothing major. There are a variety of locations and mission structures which don't deviate from what one would see in this game's spiritual successors. The difficulty is quite high for anything above agent, at least for the average player, but it's very satisfying and rewarding to learn the levels, guard behaviour (how they move, fire, react, etc). That you need to either do higher difficulties or somewhat difficult special versions of the levels is annoying, but not that big of a deal. Get good, as the kids say. You can always play coop if you're really struggling! Initially I wasn't super sold on the music, which sounded like dollar store version of GE's amazing soundtrack, but you know, it has very much grown on me. Maybe it's Stockholm syndrome from trying to achieve all these par times, but I can't find much fault with the music anymore. However, the gun sounds are still egregiously bad. There's no oomph to any of them. Even the rockets sound pathetic. I know it's hard to match sounds like GE's rocket launcher or PD's shotgun, but these are just weak. There's really no excuse for guns that sound on par to a cap gun. I've been having a (frustrating) blast trying to get par times, beating the challenges with my friends (which I don't think I could do on my own) and just generally enjoying shooting mooks. The developer has been responsive with fixing issues, and there are more things to come in future updates, including mod tools. I'm very excited for where the game is headed, and looking forward to 100%ing the game at some point.
It moves, plays, sounds and feels like classic Golden Eye 64, but has the added benefit of way smoother gunplay and gaming experience in general. A shame the coop couldn't be done via invite, only split screen, but eh, it is what it is. Some of the story bits are a bit vague between missions, but the story isn't the focus anyway.
Beaten Agent difficulty and most of Special Agent difficulty and it's... fine. It's a neat throwback, but it's missing a lot of the variety that Goldeneye/Perfect Dark/Timesplitters had back in the day. It's great if you've got that itch, but it might not fully scratch it to satisfaction.
