About

Build, Gather and Fight in a Desperate Last Stand Against an Onslaught of Never Ending Evil!
The darkness is an entity of evil. Some say it is the manifestation of human fear and nightmares, others say it is a wandering mass of damned souls haunting us. The origin of the darkness itself is unknown, but one thing for certain is that we can keep it at bay through the power of light and fire.
The complete, full release of Age of Darkness: Final Stand is available now and includes Co-operative Multiplayer, Campaign, and Survival modes.

Brace yourself against huge tidal waves of Nightmares. Leveraging an internally developed technology called ‘SwarmTech’ allows the game to render over 70,000 enemy units on the screen at one time. These enemy legions claw their way up through seething fissures in the earth to reinforce ‘The Veil’.

Light up a rich, complex, procedurally generated map to claim territory back from ‘The Veil’. A dynamic living death fog that conceals enemies and drains life from your troops. Holding the line against this terror is not for the faint of heart.

Borrowing from the the roguelite genre, Malices are random afflictions placed on the player during every Death Night, unraveling the best made plans. Conversely, if a Death Night is survived, you may decide between three randomly selected Blessings, enriching the experience and giving your army a much needed edge.

Lead the charge against the horrors of the night with powerful and unique Heroes. Using special abilities gained from leveling up, these Heroes can be key to turning the tide of a desperate battle. But beware, the Nightmares have Elite roaming champions of their own that drop precious resources when killed, posing an extreme and ever-present threat to your expansion.

Co-Op Multiplayer - Team up with a friend in co-op multiplayer to survive the onslaught, defend humanity from the forces beyond the Veil, and reclaim the light together
Epic Campaign - Award winning single-player campaign full of epic battles and dire threats
Survival Mode - Put your endurance and skills to the test in the endlessly replayable Survival Mode
Award-Winning SwarmTech™ Technology – Witness the internally developed ‘SwarmTech’ technology, allowing the game to render over 70,000 enemy AI units on the screen at one time.
Unique Heroes & Factions – Choose Heroes reigning from three distinct Factions - The Order, Rebellion & Volatists - each with their own playstyles, abilities, bonuses and army units that offer a unique gameplay experience.
Dynamic Day & Night Cycle – Fight to reclaim territory by day and survive against the relentless horrors that come with every night.
Living Death Fog – Encounter The Veil, a living death fog that conceals terrors and adds a new layer of danger to your survival, which must be kept at bay through the power of the Light.

its abandoned and unplayable. First u need the game to recognize your screen resolution, then u fight against the fps, and then the game looks blurry. like waaay to blurry. And the worst thing is that what works and what doesnt is different from person to person so good luck trying to play this game in a decent way. Oh, and the path finding is broken. So yeah. If u want to buy this, well, dont. Go for "they are billions" or something like that.
I really like the feel/atmosphere of this game. The mechanics are amazing! But there's just too many crashes, and they make the game unusable, in both single-player and multi-player. Hopefully this is improved at some point. :)

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

Really fun! medieval horde defense rts. your units arent fragile but they arent invincible, your heroes take a lot of time to scale until they can hold off a wave on their own. I like this style of game a lot, it feels good to control which is extremely important. the campaign is what youd expect from a campaign like this, my biggest gripe is that its a lot more human v human than human v monster, but it sets the setting up which is important. the survival mode is fun. there are checkpoints and perks you get after "death nights", and if something gets behind while you arent paying attention you dont immediately lose.
They are billions but over all better QoL, less punishing and easier to start playing. There're some drawback like unit control can be buggy, and Co-op are super laggy and desync but still fun to play still.
This is "They are Billions" but better
Awesome game to play with a friend.
this game is pretty awesome so far! i originally slept on this one i think mostly because of the medieval vibes, but i was so wrong, this isnt another boring sword and shield medieval history game but rather a fantasy game with magical elemental and supernaturual elements which i find immediately awesome settings wise. also i liked how in my play i noticed the enemy does indeed group up almost fluid like. there is a survival mode, as well as campaign (i tried survival), the game gives you everything you need to know to start playing like this, without intrusive tutorials bogging you down. i played as the probably good guys the first time around, but omg i cant wait to play as the enemy. you can play as 3 factions, with 2 characters from each. your units have skills that can level up etc. i think the thing i like most is that its more survival defense like RTS and less colony management sim, which i like personally. (im not a fan of colony sims, i am however new to RTS games in general) i would say it has a similar vibe to cataclyismo in some ways, (maybe less hard initially) but with its own unique flair and charm. and not building in 3d! i especially love the art direction, atmospherically this game feels great, i do feel that while it has a pause button for strategy on the fly, it kind of seems to lack a fast forward/speed up time function like other games have. i like that you can explore and uncover the darkness, uncovering enemies as you go. and equally finding new resource deposits to place your stone mines and whatnot. i definitely got deadened in my first play, but it was so awesome i, excited to play more, this is definitly more my kind of rts i think, the enemy being so big and bunchy, and the supernaturual art style of the game. everything just feels and looks awesome. as someone who has gotten into more fluid sim like RTS esque games, ( Calyx most recently) i feel the enemy here is similar in vibe, i mean 70k units on screen at once as its advertised, sounds pretty fluid sim like to me! and exactly the kind of gameplay im looking for. the enemy in survival at least will attack you in waves, aswell as individual stragglers, starting light enough for you to focus on getting strong, before the wave a few nights later that obv i wasnt ready for! i also appreciate the game telling me i wont survive, XD (it was right) its a nice way of telling players not to get attached to their first game, etc. (again survival review idk anything about campaign) but overall really fun game, i cant wait to play more!
挺好玩,联机更好玩,就是发展有点慢,以及游戏兵种移动速度太慢导致无法快速支援
Mostly play multiplayer with my brother, but occasional campaign and survival play. Good game for sale price to have some fun if you enjoy the genre, but I can see it getting a little too repetitive over time. Would be nice to have more depth to the game like more buildings and units (faction based?), side challenges during survival, or even a couple different game modes for expanded multiplayer. But still feels solid at the basic level and has been fun to play.
Nada puede describir el nivel de adrenalina que uno siente cuando llega el momento en que los monstruos vienen y todo el mundo se oscurece rodeandote, éste juego crea muy bien la ambientación de estar al borde de la muerte y gritar pura supervivencia. 10/10. La campaña cumple, pero no impresiona.
