I like indie games. I prefer them over most triple A titles. What I don't like, indie or otherwise, are games that are obviously not finished yet. I can absolutely tolerate low budget level design and cutscenes, especially since I know first hand how much work is required for game development. But it doesn't bode well when windows are glowing in the distance despite the interiors of the houses being pitch black, house exteriors looking bright in the distance due to fog, but pitch black as you approach them, and footstep sound effects playing if you hold shift (even if you're not moving). After dying to a zombie that came out of nowhere, I decided to skip the first cutscene, which worked but with a few seconds delay. I then ran through the first house quickly, picking up notes and items again only to get softlocked because I picked up an item, a voice clip played, and then picked up a note while the voice clip was still playing, which somehow cause the E key to not work anymore. The third time around, I decided to explore other places but gave up after a while since the game lacks direction. The store page does clarify that AI was used for the voice of the main character. In my experience being both a gamer and game developer myself, it's better to not do something at all than to do something really poorly. A mute protagonist is better than an AI voiced one, because AI is not good enough at this point in time to imitate real human emotions or understand context. In fairness, the soundtrack isn't bad. There's a clear attempt at building up some sort of immersive atmosphere in the game. However, my immersion breaks quickly when I hear an AI voice say some cheesy one liner about an item I picked up. I hope this review isn't seen by the developers as unfair or too harsh. See this as a learning experience and revert the game back to early access, in my opinion. There are aspects I can see working in this game. It is nowhere near finished yet though. Keep working on it and maybe someday it will be a decent game.
good concept just wish there was a way to adjust the look sensitivity and the gamma cause its way to dark...I recently retired to play this with using the mouse to look around and still too much if u read reviews then i hope u find this really useful do not buy this game as if u get motion sickness easy then be prepared to get sick and seems like the developer(s) gave up and so am i and also changing from recommend to strongly not recommend
