Big Ant have proven to completely lost their respect for players. I used to go in to bat for them, they made the best ever AFL game imo 'AFL Live'. They released this game about 50% finished, and then never apologised. The CEO blamed something like the wrong build got uploaded, but then the game was completely broken for the better part of a year. Since then they have gone onto to release completely broken products. No communication with fans, to the point where they actually ban comments that criticise them for broken products. This game unfortunately, the game play is just not there. Very frustrating to play. PLZ go back to the original AFL Live goal kicking. with the power meter and guessing the arc of the ball with the wind. i really liked that, it was a good simulation on actual goal kicking.
Should be illegal to do what big ant are doing with this

I enjoy this game but the AI makes me want to blow up an orphanage
Encouragingly positive review. After AFL Evolution 2 was discontinued, this is probably the only AFL game series still under development. Australian players shouldn't be too picky; Australian Rules Football is a niche sport globally, so being able to play it is already a good thing. However, to be honest, Big Ant Studios doesn't seem to care about this series as much as they do other games like the cricket series. Lack of tutorials, stiff character models, sluggish controls, and poor AI—even the newly released AFL 26 seems to retain these issues. Since it's still under continuous development, they must be making money. Hopefully, the developers won't ruin their reputation and will seriously optimize and improve the quality of the series.
Wouldn't recommend this game UNLESS you are super into AFL and have played previous versions. There is no training or tutorial which makes the game for new comers almost impossible to play. Played 3 games and and all of them were lobsided. Also the Holding the Ball/Ball calls are random and doesn't offer a present experience. I think if you add a tutorial AND a training mode, that fixes the problem no sweat. Will say the Graphics look well done and they look realistic. Hoping this isn't the direction that Rugby League goes.
always crashing
this game can be fun but it is not when it has many bugs that are not fixed for a long time
Don't bother with this game cause they don't care about management mode and it's still the same generic mode like the evo games. They haven't fixed management for a long time and someone who work with big ant say in the forum they won't going to update management mode anymore. How is it still 100 bucks when it's worth 5 bucks. Also they haven't even fix the gameplay. Might aswell play evo 2 than this ♥♥♥♥
French fan of footy, I've got to say that this game is just a real great pleasure ! It's a difficult one if you try to play it with a realistic approach, and that's why it's a challenging one. Thank you to the dev for the work !
Cooked beyond imagination, controls feel unresponsive making marking feel like it is luck based and there are constant crashes. Stick with AFL Evo 2 bois, this game a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
