This game is really good and fun to play. There are a lots of different maps you can visit with all different enemies. Maybe there could be a bit more missions to play but other than that I liked it a lot. 9/10 Has very nice potential. - Devren U.S.A
berat tunca decided to make a space game where it's camera angle is stuck up your femboy rear end. Neat little game but the constant vibration in my headphones makes me feel like I'm playing Silent Hill 1's last boss.
Aethelgard: Galactic Guardian is a free space shooter where I take control of a starship trapped in a dangerous part of space. I spend most of my time mining resources, fighting alien ships and upgrading my vessel so I can survive tougher encounters. The basic idea is straightforward, but I like the feeling of starting with a fairly basic ship and gradually turning it into something much stronger. The combat is probably the best part for me. It uses a top down 2.5D perspective, and I have to pay attention to positioning while dodging incoming fire and looking for opportunities to attack. The battles can get quite hectic when several enemy ships are around me, especially when stronger enemies or bosses enter the fight. I also like the progression because there is a clear reason to keep collecting resources. I can use Kyberium and other materials to improve things like weapons, shields and engine thrusters, while progressing through different ship tiers. Seeing the ship change from a smaller vessel into a much heavier warship gives the upgrades a nice visual payoff. The exploration and economy give me something to do between the bigger fights. I can mine asteroid fields, dock at space stations, trade and visit the Black Market while managing my credits. There are also procedural encounters involving meteors, ambushes and alien bosses, so the game has a little more going on than simply flying from one battle to another. The biggest problem for me is that the game can feel quite repetitive. A lot of the experience comes down to mining, fighting, collecting resources and upgrading the ship, then repeating that cycle at a higher level. The basic loop is enjoyable, but I would have liked more different activities or situations to break it up. The free to play model also makes me a little cautious. There are paid Astralite packs as well as permanent credit, experience and damage boosts. The damage boost in particular gives a permanent 50 percent increase to weapon damage, so the paid options are not limited entirely to cosmetics. I can play for free, but I definitely notice the monetisation while progressing. I also think the game is more of a small focused experience than a huge space adventure. There are only two Steam achievements at the moment, and while the ship progression gives me something to work towards, there is not an enormous amount of content outside the main gameplay loop. The presentation does help though, with the 3D lighting, starfields and particle effects giving the battles a nice atmosphere. Overall, Aethelgard: Galactic Guardian is a decent free space shooter with satisfying ship upgrades and some enjoyable combat. I like mining for resources, improving my ship and dealing with increasingly dangerous enemies, while the repetitive progression and paid gameplay boosts stop me from rating it much higher. It is a simple game, but I think the core idea works well enough for a few enjoyable sessions. Rating: 7.1/10
Protector nobil: Gardian Galactic?
Nice idea but the controls are terrible, the combat is really bad and there's a constant rumbling noise that just gets way too annoying. Needs a lot of work.
