Wow! Other reviewers have pointed out but this game - even the first few days - is filled to the brim with lore. Through their dialogue, and even names, you can really tell that each character has their own deep story dying to be told - as does the school and world itself (from interacting with the teachers and the library). The graphics are gorgeous too, and I think do a really great job and elaborating each character and the idyllic setting. It reminded me of my experiences in first-year in college - the idealism, community, and this feeling of the school's grandeur. If this is the kind of content you like, highly recommend!
From the reviews I saw, and from having played through it today, I think I can reasonably say this: If you like storytelling, lore, and slow / casual gameplay, then I think you'll be delighted by this game! If you are like my brother who only plays shooters and fast paced games but are not really interested in story or characters, then this game may not be for you. I love stories, and I love reading. I perused some snippets of reviews here before buying the game and trying them out myself. Some reviewers complained that the first chapter is too long and they weren't that interested in the lore. Other reviewers, on the complete opposite of the spectrum, praised the exposition and admired how great it is that the lore spares nothing and allows them to feel the distinctiveness of each character. And personally as a heavy reader IRL, I breezed through the first chapter pretty fast like a piece of cake. But I also see how some type of people wouldn't favor that and could click 'skip first chapter' instead. To each their own, I guess. All the character art and the environment is so incredibly pretty and the music, the music - is so beautiful! I once stood outside of the campus hall so I could watch the orange twilight of sunset to some absolutely otherworldly music. I loved that it gives this peaceful experience. As for combat, I wasn't too familiar with skills and stuff, though I chose to master all of air. I think it would be good if the developers added some sort of detailed description system of what each skill does and how much MP it uses, because it's hard to ballpark it when you're actually fighting. Thanks for reading my 2 cents~ Aino
This is more along the lines of a VN (Visual Novel), way to much writing for the average RPG. I cannot recommend this if you want an RPG however, It is well done and would make a good addition to someone who wants a VN with RPG additions. I personally dislike VN's so I refunded the product.
First of all, I must say that my first impression of Aeternitas is that it contains big potential for further series expansions. Watching & playing through the game intro reminded me strongly of Avatar the Last Airbender & the Lord of the Rings, along with Harry Potter. Why the game reminded me of the Lord of the Rings is because of its enormous storytelling in the opening & middle in Act One, which hints so many times about how grander the world actually is, and there is a rich history we'll be able to enjoy. With such well-built & thought character dialogue and design, I think the game would really benefit from a series of rich sequels and prequels. I believe it would be a waste to have just one game and nothing after that! Suggestions: I would recommend the game creator to insert voice acting & audio narration for the opening story and dialogues. That might make the game more dramatic & increase immersion. Good Luck!
This game seems to play like a visual novel and really not like an rpg. I feel the store page should describe the gameplay more accurately and realistically.

DO NOT BUY. Game is abandoned and not finished.
I've given this game more than 2 years to get a single update out that would make it a minimum close to an actual game, let alone a completed one. That update never came so I'm assuming this game will forever stay an half formed introduction not even close to a finished game. I've even asked about it on the dev's channel and received no answer to this day. You can't interact with anyone after the intro, there's no story, there's no quest, there's no characters, you just grind for literally nothing and there isn't even gameplay since you just 'fight' the teachers in glorified grind tutorials that don't even bother to actually teach you how to play or what the spells do. And even getting to the grind is a chore because it is all timed, the map is super big for how empty it is and your character move at a snail's pace. Save your money, it's not worth buying, let alone at the price I did back then.
