Aerial Destruction

Edit: I just found the "Sensor" option in the briefing page before the mission starts. If you don't like the search and destroy aspect you can flick this on then all enemies will be highlighted for you. If you are like me and cannot afford to spend thirty million dollars on your very own Apache helicopter fear not! Aerial Destruction has got you covered for only a fraction of the cost. Despite its ruff look this game has all the features and setting options you could ask for. This creates a consistent experience no matter what hardware you are playing on. For a helicopter simulator this game has good controls. Both controller and keyboard are comfortable to play with. That is a huge factor in helicopter simulators general play ability. There is alot to think about when piloting and the controls should not be one of them. Aerial Destruction does this very well. With simple intuitive controls, combined with the ability to change camera views from first person - third person and zoomed. It will not take you long to get comfortable with your new Apache helicopter. You can start slaying battalions of enemies in no time at all. The waves are large, and it feels good mowing them down. There is a bit of "search and destroy" aspect to the game. I cannot tell if that was intentional or not, but it works out fine. At the end of the wave there will be flipped trucks and bricked infantry mixed in the rubble. You will need to fly around with a keen eye and finish them off to complete the wave. It is a little annoying trying to find them because the visual draw distance is very low. Considering I am in a helicopter I should be able to see great distances. None the less it is satisfy to find that lone infantry man hidden amongst the forest of trees that line the roads. Very modern type of warfare, if you get what I am dropping down. Get this one if you are familiar with genre. It is a surprisingly good one.
